Wtf is the damn point!!!!??? There's no point in having sd over I swear. Say what you want bug a few days a week feels like he is just picking up some kid to come over and be a mute statue in the house. She DOES NOT talk to us. She NEVER wants to do ANYthing. You talk to her she makes a face an shrugs. There is t anything father/ daughter like between them. We try and take her out to places and she looks like she could care less an unappreciative. Why the frig bother. Why can't we just wait til SHE is ready to be with us. I know the answer I'm gonna hear because she needs her dad around. I TOTALLY agree but wtf is the point when she doesn't even wanna be around. What is anyone getting out of it. Nothing!

The point is responsibilities..SD's are a packaged deal but not always a pleasant one.

He's her father. He needs to find a way to make a connection with his child. Waiting for her to come around shouldn't be an option. He's the adult. It's his job to take control.

I think this is a brilliant idea1 Give her a job to do, like pitching the tent, or collecting firewood, but make it exciting. How old is she? My DD & SD always loved it when I would print out scavenger hunts to do while camping, or making fire starters out of dryer lint...anything like that. Putting her outside of her comfort zone may be the way to get her to interact a little more...brilliant fightincrazytrain.!
