When did you realize he/she was the one?

What made you fall in love with your partner? What made you want to spend the rest of your life with this person?

This past week, I've been trying to circumvent the bad, and focus on the good. It takes so little to anger, but so much to love. This site is made for venting, but I honestly believe that negativity breeds negativity. After a while, it's a contest to see who has the worse life, a one-upper on who's dating the bigger ass. Have you noticed that when you're happy, you focus more on the good, and when you're upset, everything is just terrible?

What is the worse/funniest thing stepkids ever said to you?

As some of you may have read, FH recently proposed. OSD is ecstatic, and is after to me to hurry up and plan the wedding. SS is happy with it. Well, they went to their moms right after the dinner for their EOW. YSD, when she got back from BM's, turned to me while the other two were debating where the honeymoon should be and said that if I marry her daddy, she was going to move in with mama. I looked at her, laughed, and said "OKAY!! Let's go pack.

HE PROPOSED!!!

BF proposed in front of friends and family during his birthday dinner Friday night. He had a whole speech planned out, was shaking, sweating. I was oblivious to the whole thing, busy cutting his birthday cake and sorting the bill out. OSD told my little sister, so she was prepared to record the whole thing. His friends knew, the kids knew, my family knew. I have never been so surprised in my life. I always thought that I would know, I would sense it.

What is wrong with this scenario?

I just think of all the posts on here about how BM's just happen to increase CS once their ex is getting married or starting a new family, and how the new baby/family get neglected. Or they find out their ex got a second job, or got a raise, or a bonus, and go for an increase. I know a guy who had to pay so much for CS for his child, that he had to get a second job just to make ends meet. His ex found out about the second job, and went for an increase and got it. So he still couldn't make ends meet. And he couldn't quit the second job, b/c it wouldn't lower his CS obligation.

What is appropriate?

I was just on TMC, and saw a post about what "dressing your age" means. I have the same question. I am 26, 132 lbs (I was 118 before school started), and 5'7". I wear a size 3, 5 or 7, depending. OSD is 11, and we wear a lot of the same clothes. Cute tees, jeans, capris...I have to raid her closet occasionally to recover some of my shirts. When we go out, I think I dress nicely. I'm very conservative, jeans, cute top, flip flops. Or skirts with a cute top. I do not show my belly button or my buttcheeks off. Solid colors. During the summer, I'm a lazy dresser.
