Taxes, Child Tax Credits and Pre-payments Opt out

CLove's picture

WELL that wasnt fun. It was actually a bit hard. Letting go has always been hard for me. And giving an extra dime to Toxic Troll BM kills me.

But there you are. For backstory, I file the family tax returns. I have the tools, as well as the experience. For the past two tax years, 2019 and 2020, we have claimed SD15 Backstabber/Munchkin. I had Toxic Troll sign the waiver both years, due to the child support modification order that gave her claiming rights. You know, the part where the visitation is 50/50 but listed as 51/49 for tax purposes.

Compartmentalizing the "team" of marriage

CLove's picture

Im reading through "stepmonster". Trying to attain a shift so that the marriage will be less stressful, I will be less stressed and angry. Resulting in husband being less stressed and angry.

Things are shifting but slowly. I poke here and there, but more try to understand and make myself understood.

I dont know if this even makes much sense.

OT - Need your good thoughts, positive vibes

CLove's picture

ll make this short:

1. I went to an eye Dr yesterday to get a new perscription for my contacts and it was one of those places where the DR is remote, and none of the lenses really worked for me. Ive gotten perscriptions that were wrong. But I needed something fast and my regular Dr couldnt take me until 2 weeks from now.

No F's Great JOB!!!!

So SD15 Backstabber/Munchkin did it. She pulled her F in art up to a C and got a D in Orchestra (how I do not know- she completed 2 out of 20 assignments, but I think teacher just doesnt want to see her again or hear from anyone either)

She did pull 2 A's, and 3 B's a C in honors english (that was a big shocker too...).

Not that I am going to pay on those.

I sent the report card to Husband and he was "Look I told you - no F's" so I unleashed and he took it reasonably well!!!! No multi-paragraph rant in retaliation. He just said "ok you vented, now what?"

An Apple a day, makes enablement a healthy dose...

Greetings fellow Steptalkers. As I continue this new journey started last month, I wanted to update you, sort of bring you along for my particular ride.

As I have been trying to sign up for an online class at the local community college, Ive had to get through some roadblocks - my application didnt go through, the mandatory orientation, the "qualifying assessments" (Ive already got a bachelors, so Im over qualified and might somehow slip in there anyways...).

Road bump

Ok, so I bought my laptop - its beautiful!!!! All by myself with my own financing and set up and EVERYTHING. Always had hand-me-downs before, so this is a BIG DEAL.

ok. So for the Road bump:

I checked the parent portal for Backstabber/Munchkin - Failing Art, Failing Orchestra, and D in honors English. High Bs all other classes. Shes at our house because Toxic Troll is at yet another doctors appointment.

Took the advice...and here's how it went, folks

CLove's picture

I told Husband that he would not be able to leave B/M SD14 at home alone, either he takes her or drops her off with her mother, Toxic Troll.

His reaction was to rage out at me and yell  "this is her home too and she can stay if she wants, or you can get the fuck out"

Then, for further emphasis "If you dont like it, I want a divorce, I just want out, I want a divorce, I want out"

I wrote everything down and he signed it as a record, because too many times things are redacted and "no I did not say that".
