The Slap Heard 'Round the City
As Jupiter and Saturn have converged, apparently Toxic Troll BM is going for her Mother of the Year award for 2020.
Last night, DH recieved a text from the Troll detailing yet another fight with Feral Forger. On and on about a chore liste given 5 days ago still not done, and then...drumroll...
How FF called TT a D!ck.
And TT, like the true Troll she is "looked her in the eye and slapped her". And then FF apologised for calling her mother a dk.
And her text (sort of priceless) to DH: "baby steps to her learning to respect".

Missouri is making 50/50 Default for custody

Custody agreements in Missouri could default to equal time with each parent — with exceptions — under a new House bill pre-filed earlier this month.
Hit the Sweet Spot, and I did a thing...
Great news! For those who have been following "Fail-Gate", Munchkin SD14 has pulled up her grades!!! 3 B's and 5 C's, up from 3 F's, 4c's and 1 B.
I took advice given. Found out what her currency is. Talked with her about what we can do to help her out. Badgered the heck out of her. I even went and emailed some of the teachers, went to a few teacher hours on Zoom. Bought her Art Supplies (failing class). Spent a few hours talking about assignment that was confusing. Made an assignment check list that she checked things off.

Grade-Saga Part III
All who contributed - I read everything a few times over. Gimmy - not even remotely tired of your input. I need all the help (er butt kicking) available.
Friday, DH picked up Munchkin SD14 from her mothers. Toxic Troll claimed that she did not have access to Parent Portal but was "trying" and needed a list of assignments due, and all she was told about was that it was only the art assignments.
I discussed the following:

Munchkin Fail-Gate Followup
Thanks to everyone with wonderful and solid advice. Here is where we are today:
Her father threatened to take her lizard and bunny away as well as everything else. If her grades do not come up. I offered to work with her on things and she agreed because, as she told me "I will just shut down and not do anything, if my pets are taken away".
We texted back and forth a bit and she told me "I work best my own way, so I dont work the best with you standing over me."

Munchkin Grades are REALLY bad
I couldnt think of a witty Title for this sad blog.
I did not back off like was advised, I double-downed and got into the "Parent Portal" and saw her grades for Freshman Year High School. Shes failing 1/3 of her courses. 3/9. The irony is that the 2 shes doing the worst are electives that she SHOULD excel at: Orchestra (violin) and Art (shes great at drawing and loves it)

Picture not-so-perfect, or Photo-gate
So, we got our photo done. And Im so over it. Next year will be very different, because Im not going through that again.
Heres what went down this weekend.:
Saturday was the day Feral Forger would be arriving in town. We had no idea of when and she did not communicate with Munchkin-in-the-middle about arrival time. Saturday was supposed to be picture day, because we also did not know anything about how long FF would be staying. Turns out until Monday.

A Zoomed Thanksgiving in cLove-land
Greetings and I hope everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving Day. We had our very first TG at our home just us (munchkin sd14, me and DH). DH bought a medium size turkey, we did mashed potatoes and I did gravy (from scratch! My mother walked me through it) we had warm artisian rolls, green bean casserole (my first time making that - it was my favorite after the mashed taters) and some canned yams that I spiced up.

Munchkin SD14 and schooling
Lets just say that distance learning and Munchkin SD14 are not the best of friends. She normally is an A and a B student. Her current challenge has been logging on to the zoom classroom meetings and classwork.
Last Friday *yes the 13th! she was notified that work assignments are missing. She was with us all weekend and nothing was completed and submitted Friday, nor during the weekend although she kept saying she as going to "work on it". I am emailed notifications, no one else is. So I then got another on Monday, which is when she went back to her mother Toxic Trolls house.
