SS’s mom asked for help with food for graduation party
I haven’t posted on here in forever! Mainly because I finally grew to like SS and didn’t find it necessary to vent anymore. However, DH just informed me that BM asked him if I’d be interested in providing food for SS’s high school grad party “with the rest of the girls.” He told her that I’m not interested before even telling me that she contacted him. He’s 100% right, I’m not interested. For several reasons.
SS15 annoys me... Still
It's been ages since I've been on here! I think I've conceived and given birth to another child since I was last here. Things with my ss now 15 have been pretty even and I've had calm feelings toward him. My oldest dd likes playing with ss and he plays with her. It's cute and I'm glad for her that she has him. I've even tried bonding with him myself.

Threats of skids moving in
Recently, DH and I were talking about how SS14's life with BM and his stepdad is less than ideal. His caveman of a stepfather is an asshole and rumor has it that he's not very nice to SS. DH was saying how it'll be "awesome" when SS finally gets into a fist fight with SF and decides he wants to live with us.

Fans of The Bachelor?
The Bachelor premieres tonight. This season the bachelor is a father. He was a contestant last season and I remember how he would talk about his daughter and the bachelorette would think that he's so sweet. He was picked to be the bachelor because the fans like him so much. I kinda feel sorry for the women who will be competing for him because, well, we all know the reality of the situation. But then again, they will get to be on tv which I'm sure they want, so I guess I don't feel that badly for them.

Am I being a b!?$&
I now have a 6 week old baby. I used to feel a little stressed when SS would come over for his EOWe visits but now I feel a lot stressed by them. At night, DH and I have been taking care of our DD in shifts. Usually I take the first shift and he goes to bed. With SS here, I think DH should stay up with baby and SS first and I should sleep. I don't like being alone with SS because I'm not very fond of him and I don't like trying to force a conversation with him and pretending to like him. But I will be upsetting our schedule to have DH take the first shift.

Skid weekend starts soon
It never really seems as bad as I anticipate it'll be. I just get irritated by SS being allowed to hog our tv by playing video games, me not being able to shower with the door open, needing to decide on a movie that's appropriate for a kid too, just minor annoyances. It's just hard when you have your routine down and it gets disrupted. I know it's worth it for DH to be able to have his son over so I do my best to put on a happy face. Of course, it helps to know it'll only last a couple of days.

Talking about step parenting with non-step parents
Yesterday I was talking to a friend about how I blogged on this site about my SS. She got this surprised/horrified look on her face and was astonished that people would do that. She asked why I would do such a thing and I told her it was nice to know that there were people out there who shared my frustrations and could give me advice. That this really is an online support group.

Skids always win (caution: pretty whiny)
It's getting increasingly frustrating for me to be reminded all the time about how SS13 will always come first. I recently posted about whether or not I want SS to come to the hospital after my DD is born. I don't. DH does want him to come. It caused a huge fight between the two of us and we ended up leaving it at seeing what happens on that day. But I'm pretty dead set against having SS come.
