DSS just left.

Less than 48 hours after BM walked out of mediation - surprise, surprise...We get a little visit from DSS. She had called and said she was on her way so I called my lawyer whose response was - "Let her in." So I did. I was home alone and DH was picking up the younger kids. The allegations were filed mere moments after mediation ended. The anonymous caller (BM) said my DH was abusive to the SSs AND ME! My DH is the passive sort - I'm the dominating one in the family. Everyone I have told this to has just laughed.

On here all the time (way to much in fact) but haven't posted lately. RECAP: DH is CP to his 2 sons (10 & 13). BM is a felon w/ drug convictions and has made repeated threats against our family. BM gets supervised visitation (her parents are the supervisors) Sat @ noon til Sun @ 6 pm. This has been the court order since 2007. She usually spends between 6 - 10 hours of that time with them. She kidnapped oldest SS in January, we got an Emergency Order & SS back immediately and were forced to go to mediation which is free in NC so, fine.

Never been to mediation before and I have some questions (I know answers may vary from state to state or even county to county) but I have NO idea what to expect. I will certainly be discussing this w/ our $300/hr attorney but any answers I can get from you STalkers may save me some lawyer face time. Here are some questions:

Some of you may know that the BM in my situation only has supervised visitation with the boys b/c of her history of drug abuse. The supervising party is her mother. Today SS13 ran away from his grandmother's and went to his mother's house unsupervised. He won't leave and BM won't make him. BM is clearly in contempt of court but the Sheriff's Office here can't do anything about it. They say I have to talk to a magistrate. There's no magistrate in at the moment and no one to ask when one will be available.
