Lending Money To Children?

How do you feel about lending money to your children?

This is about my own son and not my stepchildren.

My son is 37, and is in the middle of a divorce and the lawyers fees cost a lot of money. He wants a loan from me. I do not feel this is the right thing to do as I helped him out for three months (not paying rent or housing costs) when he moved out from his wife's house who will soon be his ex wife. My husband and I gave him space to get on his feet for three months so that he could save and get his own apartment.

It was a very interesting weekend, to say the least.

My step daughter and her husband flew home late Sunday afternoon after declining an offer of lunch with my husband and I. She probably was still angry about the blow up on Friday night. I did hear that she had lunch at her youngest sister's house. The other sister and her family was there too. My husband and I were not worth an invitation. I feel these girls are now showing their true colors and excluding their Father.

SD Is Arriving Tomorrow Night

My stepdaughter (35) and her husband are arriving in our town tomorrow night to see her Dad and me. She has asked to see us both about the sale of the house we live in. She owns it. (I talked about this in my earlier blogs.)

I am very nervous because I don't know her and have never met her. She is coming for a "friendly visit" tomorrow night after dinner, so it will be around 7pm. My husband's other daughters are also coming along with their husbands and children. They are also not coming for dinner, but each one of the girls has said that they will bring some cake or snacks.
