two weeks' worth

for the next two weeks I'm going to be at the Mister's house. Unfortunately this overlaps a week's worth of the Kid's summer visit with him.

I have a feeling I will be on here at least a few times...

I was totally aware of the overlap when I made the plans; I have a lot of things going on during that week in the Mister's town so I won't be around too too much during it. And since the Mister stays home it shouldn't be too bad as far as me having to do anything parent-like.

Any other st'ers childfree? Do you live with your DH or Mister?
If you don't have interest in the sk's how do you handle their visits?

I was wondering if anyone is in this or a similar situation, and how you've handled it.

(saying "I'm not in anything like that but I think you should..." isn't quite what I'm after, but if you have an idea or opinion shout it out anyway!)

medical hazardry

so I was working on a piece two nights ago and got a nasty chemical burn in both my eyes! :jawdrop:

I was blinded and in agony, the mister carried me into the ER screaming...today my eyes are just well enough to read and write a bit so I thought I'd check in here.

Hi. I've been reading here a while but this is my first blog, I guess my intro?

I'm 38 and childfree. I have never had nor wanted kids, I've been careful and planned not to my whole life. I just have never had any interest in them

I am seeing a man my age who has an 8 year old son eow. His mom is kinda dumb but not crazy- and she does ok raising him. He is relatively polite, hyper a bit and disgusting in the way most kids are, but not obnoxious as far as I can tell.
(I've only spent a few days here and there with him)
