Why does my husband treat me like crap when SD is home?

Ok so as you all know I have been having some issues with my husband and his daughter dont get me wrong for the most part me and my SD get along pretty well. Although right know that is not the case, but my major issue is that my Husband seems to change his attitude towards me when SD is home. Its like he is very cold and distant when she is around and I cant seem to figure out why or how to deal with this.

Bad grades and no discipline from either one of her parents and im the bad guy

So me and my step daugher have always gotten along pretty well and have a a good relationship she has always felt comfrotable coming to me with anything. Well lately she has been getting bad grades. We knew from the begining of the school year she was having issues in math and got her a tutor that she sees twice a week well she still ended up bringing home an F in math to me a F means your not even trying.

Well me and Mariyna (my step daughter) have always been very close and still some what are. Her and her mother on the other hand have not always seen eye to eye so in some ways she was always closer to me then to her mom. Now I have always encouraged her to have a better relationship with her mom and I still do but I didnt realize how much it would hurt me.
