The SD who cried wolf!!
So if you've read my latest blogs, you know that for over 2 months now, SD10 has either called DH right before her time to come visit and told him she was sick or when she actually came to visit, she would routinely start crying at nighttime and ask to go home because she was sick. We know she hasn't been sick. Friends have told us they've seen her out with BM during those times.
So last night, when she started crying and saying she was sick, DH had a long conversation with her, explaining how wrong it is for her to lie and that it wouldn't work anymore. Then he sent her to bed. Then today, while they were out Christmas shopping, she started crying and whining about being sick. DH felt her head and it was actually warm. On the way home, DH stopped to get her some medicine and told her all about the boy who cried wolf. He explained to her that when she has lied so many times about being sick, he can't actually believe her when she is.
Shortly after the dropoff to BM tonight, DH got a text from her that said "just got home and she's running 102." DH responded with "well, I guess that means she really is sick this time."
I'd never wish Illness on anyone, especially during the Holidays. But sometimes it takes a little Karma to teach a lesson.

Yes, it probably is. But the anxiety is caused by BM and since BM is the custodial parent and the queen of PAS, our hands are tied. DH has two options - give up and not ever see SD10 again - or continue to show SD10 that DH cares and wants to be a part of her life. Either way, we lose.
Glad your DH took the
Glad your DH took the situation in hand. Good on him.
