Dr. Spent 5 Mins with SS and asked "have you considered ADHD?"

I took my BS7 and SS7 for their physicals yesterday. The doctor spend 5 minutes in the room with SS and started asking questions.

How does he do in school? - Not well, mandatory summer school or he will fail 1st grade.

How about focusing? - Well, last week for example, instead of doing his school work he was found under the table coloring on the floor.

How is is over all behavior? - I laughed to keep from crying

Visitation Schedule

I am just wondering if the schedule below sounds standard or not. Input would be greatly appreciated!!

• Children spend EOWE with father. Children will go from Fri at 6 pm until Sun at 6 pm.
o If father has military drill that weekend then it is up to him to find child care. Mother has the right of first refusal for childcare those weekends.

• EO Spring Break with each parent (father odd years/ mother even years)

• Easter weekend with mother
• Mothers day/ Fathers day weekends spent with proper parents

How to move on from constant bad behavior?

My husband said something last night that really got to me. He said I was mean to my step son half the time.

Now, let me say that the last 6 months with SS7 have been hell. He is this angry emotional roller coaster. Filled with lies and destruction. He was never an easy kid but since the incubator has been back it has been more than I can take most days.

Who decides?

This question is kind of for a specific group of moms on here. How much say do you give your DH in matters regarding your bios and visitation with their father? That being said, I should point out that I have a MAJOR say in all matters regarding SS.

Too many days off from school!!

Since Christmas break all of my kids have had 4 holidays/Teacher workdays this month and last week they were only in school for three 1/2 days. I am so ready for them to be back in school!! The non stop bickering and fighting that seems to especially surround SS is just too much. He seems to always have to be instigating or destroying something.

At least we are going to visit with my best friend today so hopefully I can have a little bit of adult time in my day. I just have to make it through one more day off and then they are back in school. Wish me luck!!

The protective order

I didn't blog about this when it happened, but last weekend was one of the worst experiences of my life. While at my BS7 and SS7 pinewood derby event my ex husband created quite a scene and got physically abusive toward me. It was humiliating and the worst part was the police said that when they got there, if I pressed charges against my ex, that my husband would go to jail for the weekend too, since he pulled my ex off of me.

After the weekend from hell I am exhausted. The majority of it has nothing to do with my SS but with the way my evening just went I have a question. Does anyone who is raising both bios and steps have any success with disengaging from the step WITHOUT it hurting your marriage? Nights like tonight mak
e me question why I stress myself out, why bother? I don't know... Like I said, just feeling very defeated and tonight was just the icing on the cake.

SS6's Aunt (BM's sister) just picked him up to go spend the day at a near by water park. The first thing she did was say "Let me see the ring!". She was genuinely happy for me and FDH. It is such a weird relationship that we have with this woman. She said that she could not have picked a better match than me and FDH together and hopes that we have an amazing wedding.

Since I am searching online for a great romantic get a way for me and FDH that we can elope and have a honeymoon instead of work today }:) , I thought I would ask you! Where would you go (anywhere you can think of!) if you had a week with just you and your Honey?

So here is the back story. When me and the douche divorced we co-owned 2 homes together (one on each coast, he was military). The home that we were residing in together was my dream home and his only goal in the divorce was to make sure I didn't get it. I walked away with out a fight, I can always get another house and it was worth it to be rid of him.
