I am not an alarm clock

SO needs to learn that. Not only do I just get on the door for my long ass commute in the morning, but if I cant get his grumpy ass up I am late. He claims an alarm clock doesn't wake him but um he has only slept in the room with the alarm clock 4 times since I got my newish job in sept and had the earlier wake up time. Catch is if he doesnt get up then SD5 doesnt get on the bus and got to school. The poor kid has already missed two months of kindergarten. He has already gotten trauncy papers. He also is the biggest asshat in the morning when I try to wake him. Literally a huge jerk.

So these could either be good or bad depending on how you look at it. 1. BM called at 10pm last night to say that she had gone to the hospital for a spider bite in one of her veins that swelled up her ahnd she she couldnt move it. Hmm lets see an IV herion user who shoots up in her hand has a one fanged spider bite? (one fanged because she is an idiot and she sent SO a picture of the wound before she went) and hmm I didn't know that spider venom was hard adn silver. From what the picture looked like it seems that BM has broken her first needle into her hand. The good side?

Birthday Party Hell

So the skids had a ton of birthday parties to go to this weekend. the first wasn't so bad, it was for my SO's nephew. of course SD3 had to act up, yell at me and when I tried to hold on to her I ended up with a bruise on my stomach from a sharp elbow, but hey she is 3 right? Ugh I was so annoyed. And of course all of this was while my SO was outside. Luckily his sister saw it and SD3 got a lecture but still. then at the next party this little one was a nightmare.

Ok so SD5 is in kindergarten. Her teacher must have something against Sm's because this woman disregards me in the most obvious way. We had a parent teacher conference and she was trying to use famous psychologists theories to back up her arguments about child learning and development and she was sooooo completely wrong. She even tried to tell me that until the age of 10 all children develop the same way, ummm no they dont.

New to the site, lost in step parenting

This is my first time reaching out to a forum but it was recommeded to me as a way of getting support and help. I am 26, my boyfriend is 24. He has two daughters ages 3 and 5. Their mother is unfit do to drug use and negelect. She only shows up for about two hours a month if that, and its to give the kids toys, candy and tell them how much mommy loves them. Then she dissapears into the drug haze for however long need be. She and I do not get along, nor do I wish to as my earlier attempts sparked violence and verbal threats/abuse.
