Who is over reacting here?

So this morning, I get a text from DH "Crazy is dropping the twins at 7:30-7:45 to catch the bus. Her sitter quit"

I said "WTF"

He said: "She said she is looking for a new one"

I said: Cuz she didn't pay her, you know your ex is a POS right? I'm not leaving the door open, I do not feel comfortable doing that. She can wait in the car until the bus comes, it comes at 7:50"

He said; "Leave the door open or I will just start handing out keys"

I said: FU

6am drop off

Well DH is back to 3rd shift this week and low and behold this is the first morning he is coming home at 7:15am after working all night. BM texted him a few weeks ago telling him she is starting a new job this morning and could she drop them by on the way to her new job because she starts early. I never heard another word about this.

Last night before DH left for work, I asked if he ever got back with BM about them getting dropped off, he said, "I said sure" No times, nothing.

Sick days

My DH has his 3 kids every Wed, Thurs and every other weekend. BM is now working FT and DH is now working M-F 6-2:30pm. I work M-F 8-5. DH leaves the house at 5:45am to make it to work on time.

When he has his kids, SD12 goes on the middle bus at 6:50am (as well as my two) and then I wake SDs10 up 7:15am and their bus comes at 8am, then I drive in to work. I usually have to start at 8:30am on those days.

Throwing Dad under the bus

Yesterday afternoon DH are sitting on the couch watching TV when he starts getting texts from BM, "If you are not going to buy the twins costumes for Halloween, let me know and I will pick them up and take them. They are 9 years old and deserve a fun Halloween despite your lack of interest."

We thought the kids were going through the giant tote of costumes and picking out a costume. No, they decided they didn't like the options and decided instead of letting their father know this, they would text their mother and complain.

BM involved in a Hit and Run

So I was poking around on Clerk of Courts site and found out BM has a court date for a Hit and Run accident. It's a criminal misdemeanor. It happened on a day when she had the Skids and they were in the car. I remember them laughing about how mom got into an accident and drove away (I didn't listen much as they say a lot of things, half of it is lies). I also remember her pulling up with a banged up car.

Does anyone know how serious this is? The court date is in a month. Wondering if she possibly could go to jail for something like this.

I'm last on the list

Within the past 12 hours, I realize I'm dead last on my DH's list of priorities. He works third shift and while he is at work, the SD9 like to sleep in the same bed. I don't like this for a couple of reasons, one, they have separate rooms to sleep in and I feel they should take advantage of it since they are in hotel rooms while on their mom's time. Also, they laugh and giggle all night and I need to get to sleep as I have work in the morning.

DH doesn't want my kids coming over any more than they "should"

We have had my Sds full time for about a month now since their mother has gotten herself fired and evicted. This means they are ALWAYS at our house, except for this past weekend where BM came and took them for the weekend at a friend's house she is staying at. DH usually has 50/50 custody. His schedule is Wed, Thurs and every other weekend drop offs done at school

Hello Everyone!

I was on this site about a year ago and deleted my account because I thought I didn't need it anymore, but it turns out, no one understands stepfamily life if they have never actually been a step parent. You also don't know what life is going to throw at you when you are married to someone with kids and a crazy ex.
