how do you get past it?
i don't understand how anyone can be friends with their partner's ex. how do you get past the fact that they've had sex with her? that they used to say "i love you" to each other? that they made a child together? that they lived together and shared a life? it all makes me sick any time her name is brought up and i just can't seem to get over it. how do you get past it?

he’s like a desperate puppy
why is my fiancé so desperate for his 10 yo daughter's love? she doesn't care to say goodnight to him. she goes into her room and closes the door and goes to sleep. he watches the clock and tries to make it out to say goodnight. last night, he stood by her door and asked if he could have a hug or if she was already undressed (she likes to sleep naked). she sounded annoyed and awkwardly said that she was already undressed. he sounded so disappointed as he told her goodnight and he loves her. the girl is emotionally unattached and not at all affectionate.

lack of respect for my fiancé
i have realized that i have no respect for my fiancé based on how he is with his 10 yo daughter. always making excuses for her behavior. always looking for the positive in every stupid thing that she does or says. always blinded by her. always buying into her pity parties. always falling for her incredible acting. always allowing her to make him look like a fool. always desperate for her love, attention and acceptance.
does anyone find themselves lacking respect for their boyfriend/husband/fiancé due to his lack of parenting his spawn? i feel revolted lately.

fathers and daughters = annoying
i realize the older that his daughter gets, the more annoying they are as a pair. i feel like he'd be happier without me around as long as his baby is there to fill all of his emotional holes. YUCK. she just came to our bedroom door and asked to come in and he JUMPED and said YEA!!! so quickly and loudly. as though he was excited that she was at the door acknowledging his existence by speaking to him. ha ha ha! when the other kids in the house come to the door and ask to come in, he doesn't even respond.

if you could go back, would you choose differently?
i apologize to the long timers here who might have seen posts like this before, but i wanted to see what the tally would be.
if you could go back, would you choose differently? obviously, everyone has the option to walk away and start over, but would you make a different choice and avoid getting involved with a person with children altogether?
i will go first. YES, i would choose differently. if only there was a rewind button.

would you be bothered by this?
i am embarrassed to post this but i have to ask.
i was doing something for my fiance in bed and his wittle 10 yo baby came to our bedroom door. she said "i'm going to sleep" and as i was actively doing something to him, he loudly and happily says to her "GOODNIGHT! I LOVE YOU!"
it made me feel weird and i immediately stopped what i was doing because it felt awkward. would you be bothered by this?
