Ugh..so we have established SD is with us for 3 straight weeks.

Its been interesting...

SD..sleeps till noon or 1 p.m.....DH usually has to wake her up...he usually has woke her up several time by then and annoyed AF.  Today he woke her up at .....gasp....9 a.m. to watch the dogs while he ran errands.  He threatened to douse her with ice cold water if she didn't rise when told to.

On most days...SD then wanders downstairs to watch Degrasse High and play games on her ipad for about 5 hours....and will make a frozen pizza for herself. Then leave the plates, pizza cutter, pizza pan in the sink.  DH will yell at her to clean up her crap.

She is then  planted in the chair when I arrive home at 4 p.m.  No hello, eff you..no nothing when I come in.  PISSED ME OFF ROYALLY.

SD remains planted in the chair till DH tells her that dinner is ready....somewhere around 5 or 5:30.  SD doesn't watch the dogs, doesn't offer to help with dinner, nothing.  Just sits in the chair.

Now if its a work day...she will rise from the chair around 3:30 or so to get ready for work. She will then go to work around 4 or 5 depending on the shit.

Off work days...

SD eats dinner...puts her plate in the kitchen and wanders off to the watch TV again till DH and I finish cleaning up dinner and DH wanders in the front room and takes control of the TV.

SD will stay there watching TV till its time for her take a shower and go to bed..where she watches more TV and plays more games

Yesterday I was annoyed AF over the whole no hi, how are you..no nothing.  DH got on her about that...as in its rude and she needs to nip it in the bud now because it will not go well for her in future relationships.  (DH knows what he speaks of...he used to to this to me himself and yep he about lost his marriage over shiznit like this)

Then SD now has a nasty habit of just mumbling insteat of actually SPEAKING.  DH was all over that yesterday...told her to knock it the eff off...and start to actually speak when he has asked her questions.  He was done dealing with the mumbling...and the mmhh....from her.

Finally today, at 10:00 a.m. she asked DH if he can drive her to the mall.  WHAT PART OF WORKING DOES SHE NOT GET...DH was like no..I'm working...then she wanted to know if I could...answer was  NO..I'm working and given how rude she was yesterday..that is hard pass for me.  Then she asked if my DD could do it...NO..SHE IS ALSO WORKING.

Oh and then SD would need to be picked up by 4 p.m. because she has to work.  Once again..I'm a NO...I have that work thing...DH is a no..he also has the work thing...and DD is no because....while she will be off of work..NOT HER CIRCUS NOT HER MONKEY.

To my summer of terror with Bratty McBratFace, except she was TWENTY.  I couldn't believe how little she moved in a day.  Very frustrating and the irritating.

How old is she again?

If she is old enough to drive, why isn't she?

but not her license here yet.  Our state changed it so you have to have a permit for a year before you can get your license

I am anticipating similar thing sans the teen actually going to work. She doesn't watch TV/shows or play video games. She sits in her room, literally, all day given the chance. Ok sometimes she's reading, sometimes knitting. But not for 8 house straight. So this summer no one is doing clean up after her, I've already told DH not this summer, and she's damn well helping with dinner prep if I'm cooking.

Any blowback from either of them then they get to cook the entire time she's here.

She has you both trained well.  A list of chores posted on the bathroom mirror with the offer of the WiFi password for the day when completed to your satisfaction might make a difference.  Turn her into your maid.  Take back your adult power and dignity.

DH works from home and its essential for him to have wifi..he is in IT.

Also not my kid...so not my circus not my monkey. That is up to DH to either do or not do.

This sounds so familar.... I have SD16 and SD18 who do the same. They literally called their dad and me while we were in the checkout line at the grocery store last weekend. Why? To tell us there was someone knocking at the front door.

DH told them to answer the door. They refused because they were "scared." He asked them to look out the window and see who it was, and then they could tell them to go away. They refused, because that would be embarrassing. So DH got mad and ordered them to look and see who it was - in case it was the neighbor teling us that the house was on fire, or something. Nope. Not gonna do it. I guess they wanted us to drive home and answer the door for them. Jesus. Wtf is wrong with these kids?

My YSD16 won't even answer the door when it's our NEIGHBOR!  The last time it happened, I was in the kitchen, prepping the final dinner and they knocked - YSD was in the freaking living room looking right at them (glass top door), they could see her. She didn't move a muscle except to look at me in a panic. I tell her "Go answer the door and let them in NOW!"  ffs.

usually is the freaking FEDEX/UPS guy..not some dude with machette..Drive me INSANE

Beaver has her conditioned that someone at the door is there to kidnap her.  Trust me if they did ...SD would be returned in about 15 minutes...she can be that annoying.

No one ever says hello.. maybe SD sometimes.. no one has chores, no one cleans, SD doesn't get out of bed basically all day Sat and sunday unless she has plans. Every f'n Saturday she needs to be told to let the dogs out because she's the only one home normally. It's annoying AF.

I feel ya.
