Feel like I haveno one to talk to

I have all of you but I hate waiting for replies...

Hypothetically..
I live in LA and SD20 wants us to take her to SAN FRAN to get her hair done. It's a long ride. SD20 won't help with gas, tolls or food. She expects us to chauffeur her around. Umm. Hello? I have to work that day!!! Oh, and it will take 4-6 hours for them to do her hair. So.. She wants us to hang out and wait on her? She won't help pay for ANYTHING, NADA , ZIP, ZILCH!

Worst thing is, DH thinks we should take her since I have to be in an area 30 minutes away from there anyway.

He is sooo babying her now! Next week, DH is dropping her off and picking her up from work... There goes our weekend....

So livid right now..

Whaaaaaat???

I lived in Monterey for a year and a half, and SF was too far for my lazy butt to drive on a regular basis (not to mention, I was broke) but from LA? Oh HELL no!!

Not to mention, if you have to be there that day - that's for WORK! You know, the thing that pays the bills! Hell to the NO to babying a 20 yr old!

You mean there is no one in the entire city of Los Angeles who can do her hair? That's laughable! I would tell her to take the bus! Ridiculous! The ride alone would make me want to drive my SD over the cliffs!! I live 50 miles from NYC and NO WAY I would even drive by BD there to get her hair done. But then she knows better than to ask!! Tell your SD to let her fingers do the walking thru the yellow pages and find a hairdresser in LA!!!!!!

Repeat after me "DH-No, I am working, but do whatever you need to." Why is anyone expecting you to cater to an adult's wim's? Including yourself.

WTH would she need to go to another CITY to get her hair did?!?
She can afford THAT but she can't afford to GET there? Pffft, find someplace nearby that does the same thing and take a bus!

If I was in your situation I would state that if he wants to take his D there and wait around, then he can do so and have fun, "I am taking my OWN car and going to work and home, see ya back at the ranch!".

Ridiculous.

She should get on a bus, have her boyfriend take her . .or better yet, find someone else nearby to do her hair.

Next she'll need someone to fly her to Miami to get her nails done!

I've also been to LA and San Fran and that drive is a lot more than over the river and through the woods.

This should not be your issue by any means.

I used to live in Santa Barbara, and even from there going to San Fran is a LONG WAY to get your hair done!!!

Why can't she find a good stylist in L.A.??? There are many movie stars who have their hair done in L.A. why can't this little diva?

Tell her NO! If she really wants to go to S.F. she can pay for a limo to drive her there - at her OWN EXPENSE.
