Happy Friday, STalkers! Sorry I'm so late in posting. What a day. Ugh. I thought 2024 would be somewhat calmer at work. Ha! We started the year off with multiple bangs. I thought, "I'll start the new year on February 1." Things got crazier and I give up! 2024 has been a freaking rollercoaster thus far.

A friend (we'll call her Rachel) has been dealing with a medical issue for several years. It does cause her discomfort on occasion, but is not fatal and does not shorten her time on this rock.

We met for dinner last night. As soon as the waiter took our order, she immediately launched into a tirade about how her doctor's office never called her back.

OT - Thankful Thursday

Happy Winter Solstice, STalkers! Winter officially begins at 10:27 PM EST tonight. No white Christmas for this snow lover. The temperature on Christmas Eve will be almost 50° F. That's shorts weather! So much for that thick, fluffy sweater I'd planned to wear. A lightweight, long-sleeved shirt and Chucks without socks will be this Finn's holiday attire.

The holiday season can be a stressful and/or depressing time for some. Step hell can really add to the negative. It might be helpful to take a few minutes to think about the positives in your life. I am thankful for:

FEMA is testing the National Emergency Alert System today.

  • 11:20 AM Pacific Time
  • 12:30 PM Mountain Time
  • 1:20 PM Central Time
  • 2:29 PM Eastern Time 

If anyone in the US has a hidden phone because you are in a domestic violence situation (or any other reason), you should turn it OFF before the test and not turn it back on until you can do so safely.
