Yep, that's where it's at right now.  Honestly I'm loving it because it saves SO MUCH HEADACHE AND MONEY.

SS16 hoards/steals/gorges on food.  JUNK food to be precise.  The last straw was the other night.  He put two sandwiches in the food bin that were only 40% eaten.  Also thrown away out of his lunch bag were THREE packets of hot cheetos, one packet of crisps and two packets of chocolate swiss rolls.

Like a typical teen, he wanted video games.  So DH will buy him a new game that doesn't come out until beginning of October.  SS is more than happy to wait because it's what he wants.  Everyone is coming to our house today to celebrate his birthday.  We bought streamers, signs and balloons.  All going great.

BM2 encouraged SS to "have some privacy"

I read the message weeks ago...she told him he should change the pin number for his tablet.  I never said anything.  Until today when I went on it and couldn't get in.  So I reset it and changed the pin number back to what it was originally.

Sorry but not on my watch.  No 15 year old gets private, unlimited access to the internet under my roof.  So I asked SS why he did it and why he snuck his tablet this morning.  Alread...first day of dang school and it starts.

SS:  My mum said I should

Me:  Why is that?

SS:  Uhhh well something about having my privacy

So some very exciting news, my BS17 is flying in tomorrow for a 10 day visit!!!

When he visits, he stays in SS's room and sleeps on the bottom bunk bed.  Sooooooooooooooo this means I've been in SS's room making sure it isn't a sh*t hole before my son arrives.  THAT has lead to the discover of *drum roll*:

SS15 is pretty good at the Arts.  Any sort of drawing, by hand or computer.  He gets compliments from his Arts teacher all the time.  She is trying to encourage him in the Creative Arts direction.  This is the only thing he seems to excel at and be interested in...besides video games.

He has some sort of contest from the local University for Creative Arts.  He needs to fill in the standard info about himself, where he lives, etc.  These are some of the answer he has on the form.  Also some that he does not:

Address Line -  Blank.

DH doesn't make enough memories with SS

This is the latest text from BM2.  She also sent a message to SS15 stating dear ol' dad should take you more places.  Ya know, do more things, spend more money.

That's comical coming from the woman who only talks to this skid 5-15 minutes once a week.  Coming from the woman who only sees him about 10 days out of a year.  Of course it's disney land time then for her, isn't it?  Coming from the same woman who dropped SSthen5 on DH's door step like a hot potato.  Her idea of parenting is sending him videos about how much she loves him and posting autism posts on FB.

My BM is a narcissist, no doubt about it.  As a child, she would "punish" me if I didn't do exactly what she wanted me to do.  This was everything - wear my hair, friends, school, I didn't want to go to college, jointed the army, didn't rely on her permission for my every move.  I had my own brain and I used it.  A narcissistic mother's worse nightmare:  a child who insists on thinking for themselves.  She also admitted to me once that my brother was her favourite child.
