DH's apt. with CSR today
Way back when DH first moved here to CO, he tried hiring a CO attorney to help out with the custody modification, CS adjustment, etc. The attorney told him that b/c the case was being handled in GA and DH is still a legal resident of GA, DH *had* to use GA resouces. DH (and I, for that matter) figured an attorney would know what the he11 he was talking about, so DH retained a lawyer in GA who turned out to be incompitent to say that least.

O/T . . . Way O/T - I hurt!
I'm not sure if I ever talked about the fact that my pregnancy was not a good one. My first was high risk the entire pregnancy, and my second was high risk all of the first and most of the second trimester. *Prior* to getting pregnant, I was in very good physical shape. I really love working out (except cardio; I hate cardio). Because of being high risk, I couldn't work out, and then when I wasn't anymore, my OB/GYN told me not to b/c it's not good for the baby for my heart rate to go above 140 (it was 90 resting during my pregnancy).

DH wants to disengage? Need advice from the other side . . .
Most of my step experience thus far has been dealing with the fallout of BM's bull sh1t - particularly messing with DH's parenting time. My time with SS6 has been very limited, so I have *zero* experience with feeling resentful of the way DH handles his kid or anything like that, and right now I'm on the other side of the issue and needing advice.
I tried, it didn't work
I tried to disengage myself from the situation with BM, but DH got an email from her yesterday:
[DH]
Just wanted you to know that [SS6] will be starting back to school on August 10. If you would like to visit with him here for these two weeks before school starts that’s fine.
He has a field trip at day camp on the 28th which would be nice if he could keep.
Hope your surgeries have gone well.
If your mother wants to talk to him, tell her to call after 6 pm. We will talk about her visiting with him and work something out.

OT - Another Update
I haven't been here for a while because so much has been going on.
My baby DD was born on the 24th. She's beautiful, sweet, and almost not fussy at all. She already almost sleeps through the night; usually there's only one middle of the night hungry.

BM and her attorney playing *more* games with the CO
As I posted before, BM refused to sign the CO. FDH's attorney *finally* calls and says the CO was sent to BM's attorney for BM to sign; BM finally signed and, it had been sent to the judge to sign. We get the CO yesterday and the whole thing has been re-written!

O/T - Surgery finally
FDH finally had his surgery. He told me on Thursday that it was going to be this past Monday, but I didn't want to get excited b/c it's been scheduled, rescheduled, and cancelled so much already.

DH just converted FSS's room into a nursery for the baby
I'm not really sure how I feel about this.
On the one hand, it makes logical sense. We are very unlikely to see FSS any time soon. His BM won't follow the CO and FDH's already realised he will have to (and is preparing to) take her to court for violating the custody agreement. As it stands right now, though, FSS probably won't be here this summer. I'm glad to have a nursery for the baby; she was going to be sharing a room with DD9 almost 10, but now each of them will have their own room, so this works out better for all of us who are living here full time.
Hollow Victory, Feeling Down - would love some advice
I've had a few days now to sort of process what happened. I really think BM postponed signing the CO specifically so that FDH could not take FSS for summer. To FDH's knowledge, BM still has yet to sign it. Someone said that since it's a judge's order (not mediation or anything) that the judge can sign it in her stead. Is that something that FDH needs to file a motion for? Or is it automatic (like after a month, the judge just signs it in her place).
BM playing games with the CO
FDH's court date was the 2nd and he was told he had to go back to the court house on the 3rd to sign the paperwork. BM was supposed to do the same thing. She's refusing to go back to the courthouse to sign it. Does she *have* to sign it for it to be in effect? If so, and she just refuses to sign it, does that mean the old CO stays in place? FDH just got hit with this today. He and FSS were supposed to be flying out in the morning, but just found out that he can't take FSS b/c BM hasn't signed the paper work yet. FDH still has to fly home b/c he's expected to report back to work.
