Father's Day/Weekend irritation
I don't have any kids of my own, just a SS15 that I am not a fan of. Friday was our date night, FDH asked SS if he wanted to come with us, thankfully he said no. But what the hell was he thinking to invite SS along, just because its two days before father's day.
Then Saturday was the father's day BBQ for F-I-L and all the sons. So I had to spend the whole day with them and SS. The bbq was on Saturday because FDH's brother works on Sundays.
Finally, Father's Day arrives and FDH wants to be catered to and pampered. I suggest a drive up the coast, a nice lunch over looking the beach, and what ever else he wants to do. On our way I mentioned it was his day and SS asked why. He didnt even know it was Father's Day!!
I had to spend 10 hours with SS, plan the whole day and pay for everyone. I dont have any kids, so my FDH isnt even my baby daddy.
He did say it was the best father's day he ever had, but he better appreciate it and consider the fact that I had to spend a while 10 hours with SS as gift enough.
Monday morning I woke up so aggitated because I was in the presence of SS for far too long. Its still lingering today. He just puts me in such a bad mood. I was doing so well too, working on disengaging and not giving s sh*t. I need to get back on track.
I cant wait until the weekend when he goes to his mom for two whole days, not long enough.

LOL... On Mothers day, I
LOL... On Mothers day, I always ask DH what he got me and he always replies with "nothing, you are not my mom!".
He always ask me the same thing and I give him the same answer on Fathers day. lol. It would probably be different if we had kids together, but we don't so I really see no reason for him to make mothers day special for me or visa versa.
Maybe let his kid make fathers day special and see how that goes. lol
I agree! Although SS didn't
I agree! Although SS didn't even know it was Father's Day. It explains so much.
