what would you do?

We are having a wkend away with the 2 youngest SD's. The 17yo is competing all day with SO assisting. The plan was i spent the day with sd9 shopping and cinema etc. Last night i find out sd19 has caught the train down amd is gatecrashing in her sisters room. SO was aware of this. When we said gdnight and were arranging times for sd9 to come to me i discover sd19 wants to take sd9 shopping and sd9 reacts as always when she is placed in a difficult situation by refusing to talk and burying her head. I told SO its fine sd19 can spend time with her siater then i left the room.

fathers day cards

Well ysd9 hand made a card for SO which was really sweet amd brought a tear to my eye amd a huge smile on SO face.
The eldest 3 who live with SO ( osd22 lives with her boyfriend now) couldnt organise a card between them!
luckily i didnt have to say anything as his mother pulled the osd up for it

Honestly im disgusted that these girls couldnt care less about their father.

entertaining day out

We were out with colleagues from work at a food/wine local fair. Who should turn up but SO ex wife and in laws plus youngest SD .

still tied to Ex wife

SDstb19 broke her phone the other wk. SO pays the bill but refused to repair it. This is the 3rd time within a year. The contract is in BM name and therefore SO and SD cant do anything without BM present. Yesterday SD and BM went to change contract into SD name and repair phone.
SD gets home and tells SO payment has gone up! And BM is still owner of contract.

SD can ask me herself

Im off away for the weekend with SO and he asked me tonight if his eldest stb22 could borrow my membership card to give her access to heritage sites.

This is the girl who will not even say hello to me and yet wants to borrow my membership card so she doesnt have to pay to get into the attractions. she wants to borrow it but without speaking to me. We arent planning on using it over the weekend so yes she could borrow it but as far as i am concerned if she wants it she can ask me herself.

ungrateful skids

I bought easter eggs for everyone and left them at SO house. Later in evening i got a text message from SO saying skids say thanks for eggs. I replied with ... not to me they havent. He answered with... but they will.

Well Easter today and no sign of a thank you text. I will not be buying anything again. I explained to SO at Christmas that they are ill mannered and it reflects on his poor parenting and still he cant parent them to say thank you and yet expects me to be polite and buy them things.

Made my stomach heave this morning.

was listening to SO talking to SD18 and he called her 'dear'
This is what he calls me alot of the time and now i feel sick. I did question it with hin and his response was ...'what??? I do it all the time'
I told him dont ever call me that again.

Dont think he gets it at all!

SO birthday dinner

Tomorrow evening SO is having a birthday dinnerl at his local pub. His parents and 4skids. The 2 older skids and i dont get on.
I have been invited and im dreading it.
Im focusing on talking only to the nice members of family but am pretty sure it will be an uncomfortable evening
Any tips of getting through this??

sound advice from a stranger

I met a lovely lady today who after chatting for a while told me she left her husband after 33yrs. Best thing she has done in her life.

Went on to tell me all her about her skids and how her SD was always drapping herself all over her husband and how she was always made to feel like the one in the wrong if she insisted on manners and respect from her SD, which she never got.

She is the first lady ive spoken with in person that truely understood how i feel.

Her advice - stay well away from blokes with kids until they have all left home (assuming they do leave!!!)

manipulation of access again

2weeks ago christmas access was arranged for sd8. BM wanted her back a day early so they could go to a party. SO agreed to this only if he got sd8 back a day early over new year.
BM decided No that wasnt going to happen and they stuck to the original arrangment.
Turns out today the party has been moved to tomorrow and eldest skids are going (which is fine - they are adults- their decision) however they assumed they are taking sd8 with them.
