Happy belated birthday kid!!
My son (SS) turned 22 last week. He was with his mom and I and the extended family for our 20th anniversary and vow renewal celebration the week before his birthday. I am definitely a proud dad. He is a young man of character and is learning his way to viable adulthood.

Our vow renewal stuff.
These are the vows we wrote for each other on our 20th/vow renewal and the first draft of what the kid wrote. He changed some of what he originally wrote but this is his original stuff.
We had a great day at a beautiful venue with friends and family not to mention some amazing food, wine, and cocktails.
Now I have to go back to work to pay for it.

Just got back from 2 weeks of vacation, renewing vows with my best friend and beautiful bride of 20 years, seeing the kid, etc..
I am an incredibly fortunate man. I just had the absolute amazing pleasure and blessing of renewing vows with my incredible scary/wicked smart bride of 20 years. The kid officiated and did a great job. 20 years ago he cried for his mom during our wedding. He was one happy kid when we stopped the ceremony and brought him up to the alter with us. He was an amazing 2yo and is just as amazing at 22. He truly is the most incredible gift my wife has given me. Being his dad for the past 20 years has been the a truly awesome blessing.

This is why government has absolutely no business in parenting or in families. Some of the behavioral examples in this article would be resolved with a paddle hanging on the teacher's desk.
To put my perspective on the spanking of Kids/Skidsin less incendiary wording and a bit of a peace offering.
Every child has the right to effective parents and some parents fail in that duty by failing to discipline effectively or provide adequate behavioral guidlines with appropriate consequences for failure to comply with those behavioral expectations.
Corporal punishment may be an effective option for discipline.
No child regardless of age should be abused..... ever.
It looks like SS is keeping the SpermClan in his rear view mirror - for the most part.
It has been a while since I last blogged on STalk. As a quick refresher .... I met my DW when SS was 15mos old and we married a week before he turned 2yo. SS is an only child in our family. DW was 16 when she had SS and the SpermIdiot was 23. She went on to graduate with her HS class with honors, a BS with honors, an MBA with honors and is now a CPA.

Ooops! I forgot to share.
H and I celebrated our 18th anniversary on July 31. My parents, brother, SIL, two nephews and our son were there.
H looked amazing. She has busted her butt to lose 35lbs in the past 9 mos and everyone was very complimentary of her new level of fitness.
I toasted my wife and my son on our anniversary. It is his anniversary too. He has been a major focus of our lives and marriage since day one.

Dad, Gangster Dad and the kid turns 20.
So, yesterday was SS's 20th birthday. When I spoke to him around 12:00 (Noon his time) there had been no call from anyone in the SpermClan. Pretty typical for those toothless dipshits. I doubt anyone even bothered to call him at all. ASSHOLES!!!!!
I was able to spend almost a week with him ending a few days before his birthday. He truly is a good young man with everything he needs from any intellectual and character perspective to be an outstanding man of standing in his community and his profession for his entire adult life.
