Reactions to pregnancies

When we told SD13 about our first she seemed excited but it was something she shared with DH. They were having a baby and I was just sort of providing the vessel. That's whatever, I know the 3 of us will never be a family unit.  It was strange to be so invisible but I really can't complain because it's better than her hating me or our daughter. 

SD12 weekends are always long and have an entourage

Why is it that whenever we have SD my in-laws have to come too? A weekend with SD lately has meant that it begins on a Thursday (because Thursdays are my SIL's Friday everyone else is either a child or unemployed) and five people come to stay at our house for two days. 5 extra people isn't nothing!

Not OT- I can't stand one of my SILs

I have one SIL that is very sweet and has two young kids and another that is only a year younger but very immature and selfish, we are predicting she will be alone forever. She has taken on a child of divorce kind of attitude and acts entitled and plays up how she is "damaged" from my DH's divorce. She claims it's the reason she cant have a relationship. She was almost an adult when my DH got divorced and I sometimes think that she behaves how she thinks SD should be behaving.

BM pitting SO against her new husband?

My DH never takes the bait because he could care less about BM but she and now SD12 both try to setup competitions between him and the new stepdad (who we've never met, just said hi in passing, my husband feels sorry for him). 

My DH and I are very open with each other and agree not to let kids or our families triangulate or play us off one another. 

DH usually takes SD12back to school shopping for a new lunchbox, backpack, all that. This year she told him she did all that with her stepdad. Ok DH was a little put off but fine if stepdad wants to pay for it he can go ahead.

Which one of you is this step-GF?

My husband made a new friend who is divorced with a couple kids that he had at the end of high school, currently teenagers. 

He lives near us for work for the next 6 months to a year and has a condo in Florida with this GF. He has to fly back if he want to see her or his kids, but since living here a month he hasn't gone back and doesn't plan to due to COVID. 

DH wants SD to move in with us when she turns 18

We have always planned on having 2 kids together. My husband rarely saw SD13 when we we're dating and when we were shopping for our house. Three bedrooms seemed like plenty. 

Now that we have one baby and another on the way suddenly my husband is adamant that we should make our two share a room. Spare room is not even a shrine to SD since she never wanted to decorate it and won't keep anything there.

I'm pregnant again and looks like I'm going to have two under two! this was a surprise that we weren't avoiding it and I am super excited. It was a lot of effort to get pregnant the first time so this is very much a surprise that I didn't need a doctor's intervention! I feel so proud of myself apparently I can get pregnant on my own! I really struggled emotionally going through fertility treatment.
