Rotten behavior ruining holiday

She's at it again (9 year old SD). We have family over for the holidays. Usually when other people come to visit that she hasn't seen in awhile, she doesn't act as rude towards me. But today she has proved me wrong. I ask her to help clean the house and she argues with me the whole time. I am standing their talking to my sister-in-law that just got here from LA, and my SD walks up to me and says excuse me in a sassy manner. When I step aside, she walks up to me again as says it again! Right in front of our company.

Misguided anger

I have been looking for a place to express myself about my frustration as a step-mom. I do all the work and get very little respect or appreciate from my youngest daughter. I found this letter in her Diary today.

The is a very angry kid. She is mad at the world because she feels abandon by her birth mom. She harasses me every day. We are in counseling. But it doesn't seem to help.

At my wits end

Step-parent to two girls. I raised them with my husband. The birth mom has been in and out of their lives. She continues to mess with their heads by only being around when its convenient for her. She probably sees her daughters 3 times a year for about 2 to 3 days per visit. My youngest daughter has decided to take out all her frustration out on me. She is very angry and hurtful towards me.
