Maybe it's naive but I only recently found out that where I live if my partner and I get married then I can be considered financially liable for his children until they're 21!

Well THAT went over like a whore in church. We met with BM and all of the discussion related to the birthday party went off without a hitch.

Then I decided it was time to defend my household and call BM out on her bullsh*t.

I spent a large chunk of yesterday not eating and stewing over everything that happened the night before. There were moments during the work day where I could hardly choke back the tears and keep working. I Googled “how to know when you’re ready for a divorce”. Ultimately, I don’t think we are there but it is still floating on the periphery.

The bitch asked for more money again. She made a financial decision without us and expects us to just “pay our half”. Same shit, different day.

DH switched jobs. Pay weeks are now opposite what they used to be and it’s really f*cking up my budget plan. Like, I literally have the shakes after trying to rearrange my budget spreadsheet so we can pay everything on time and not end up in the red week after week. We’re budgeted to the hilt and our credit cards are almost maxed. But I digress… In an effort to avoid blowups, I warned BM that we might have to double up on CS payments one week – meaning one payment would be a week late.

Well, after several weeks of staying home because her doctor told her she must, she is finally getting the boot from her job.

This is from her brain injury from a few years ago. She told DH that she is getting a 30k severance, and they are letting her go in November, and she is losing her insurance. The settlement is still in the works, though, so she wont be in the streets by any means, now or in the near future.

After spending time in the courthouse, I found out that ToxicTroll is currently winning her workmans comp case. They offered to settle for 48K, and she turned it down.

After spending so much time researching Child Support, I need to find out if this will affect anything. Does a workmans comp payout affect her incme for child support calculations? 

Im having "child support discovery fatigue" currently so I dont feel like reading and asking about it anymore for now.

For now, I just want to think about me, DH and our future that we are building.

I keep saying this! But wow.

I heard from DH last night that a friend of ToxicTroll's (she got him his job in his current field but he is not actuall friends with her any longer and is not invited to anything), saw a Facebook post from her, saying that "she won her child support case and now will win her workers comp case, whoot whoot! congratulations to me!!!"
