Done

Well, it is over! Paid the last check, sent the last email, and sent a final bday card. 19 and done, he got a GED barely and now has a job. No communication with his dad and very little with his dad’s family. Very sad to see a child we invested so much in not even want a relationship. He is blinded by is mother’s lies and victimization.

Court??

Well yet another milestone come and gone .. SS is 18 and roughly 50 weeks left of Child Support... SS called Hubby and said that “they” SS and Bio Beeatch were taking Hubby back for support in January. Funny huh?!? Times up! No paperwork so far.

So those that have terminated - do you go to court to emancipate fully?
Also anyone deal with skids nearly flunking high school So skids will be in school after age emancipation - Non Cust parent Have to keep paying child support on the loser?

6 months later

Still no visits from SS. He texted his dad that he was done with us. We went to the bday party and he promptly left. I do say I was annoyed by the gift display from the EX wife... come on you dog your ex MIl all the time, but you find it necessary to make sure you are still around. Bye Felicia! T-6months till he turns 18.

I set aside some money for him. I am on a he fence with what I should do

Annoyed just a rant!

I should get past this... And at some level I will. I can't stand that SS is failing out of school and Mommy Dearest is still on a pedestal! I had surgery late last week so I am in a grumpy mood anyway. I've had 15 years of special circumstances and poor skid!!! I was a stepkid and I had to work harder to even get a fair shake!

She is beyond lazy, her parents are mooches and living off the father's mother (great- grandma) to skid. Probably draining her Social security and savings. Old woman has dementia.

Almost done

Gawd, I am ready to move on. And Frankly I think DH is too for now, SS17 barely passing, His EX is a tenant... Done so much over the years myself to help her and him. Gave her a lot - place to live, helped her get a job, helped her with taxes, helped her with school, books, financial aid, and homework. Loaned her money, bought household items, bought school clothes etc...nSS disregards gifts from us,but covenants items from BM & family.
