So, just a quickie.

I got an email notice that SD17 powersulk is failing ....wait for it...PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS.

I texted husband and emailed teacher to confirm. Its a missing assignment. I had a variety of thoughts passing through my head by said and did nothing.

Spoke on the phone about it, sort of chuckling. Its her week with us, and shes "not answering her phone for pickup"

Im reading a book called "The Confidence Game, why we fall for it...every time". Its an interest of mine, as I find it fascinating the stories of con artists such as Anna Delvey/Sorokin and others. Ive been taken in at least once by internet scammer, and have fended off more than 100 plus over the years. Ive not lost much of anything, its the sting of my own stupidity.

Whelp it happened (again).

Princess Powersulk got a talking to by me, and of course I didnt couch what I said in a calm understated voice, or didnt say the right thing, and of course that was the start of my workweek - an argument with Husband.

Wait. Let me back up.

New Years Day was really nice. Went to the gym with husband, and signed him up for an account as my Christmas Gift. Worked out. Went on a nice walk on the oceans edge. Power Sulk Sd17 was fine. Its her time o the month, so compaining about headaches and this ache and that ache.

So, Powersulk SD17 is back in the fold after sleepovergate. I had called and mentioned she should call her dad, it would be a VERY GOOD IDEA hehe, bold italics underlined. She called her dad at the last minute.

It was a dark and stormy Monday, after a weekend of being sick with hopefully a shortlived cold.

Sweetheart niece wanted to park outside our house and relax. I was fine with it.

Unfortunately Husband was not. He paced and lashed out "I am not ok with her sitting outside in her car when its raining outside, and it looks like you are!!!"

My first mistake was not being honest. My response: "Of course I am, but we are sick. This is her CHOICE, her DECISION. Im totally not ok with it!!!"

Thanks everyone for the digital "smack" I needed. My mother (who also loves Sweetheart Niece) said exactly the same thing. Do NOT support her.

So I did the sane thing Mom advised and told Husband that its on him. No key, and day by day, but now shes out a week house sitting. Im not going to push anything, but if it comes to it, Ill be the bad guy that is honest with her about not wanting to support lazyness.

So, we have had Sweetheart Niece for 3 nights now. Shes slept on the couch each night and politely folded her sheet and blanket each time. Shes fun and nice to be around. Shes friendly. Shes funny. Shes many things. She did some dishes. Already I feel ahead of things.

She is trying to get low-income housing and apparently Toxic Troll tried coaching her with how to use an old bf, recreate him as a stalker and then mention that on your application (bonus points if you have an old or existing restraining oder).

Last night, sweet heart neice came over to hang out. Id heard that she was staying here and there but nothing specific and no detail.

This is the one that "disappeared" for a few years. Met a guy, and he was into drugs and shady stuff, and spent all her money. She was held in a hotel room and threatened at one point, she said. She managed to get away, went to rehab for a while, and now is trying to rebuild her life. Shes no longer in contact with the shady guy, and is helping her cousin with his business.

Thanksgiving wasnt too bad, and now I am basking in the glow of having seen my niece and nephew for 2.5 hours. The food was good too!

We had the split Thanksgiving this year due to my brother and his family plus FIL and MIL coming down from 2.5 hours away.

I had been asking DH when would Powersulk SD17 be coming over from her mothers house and what was going on with Feral Forger SD24, for the week preceeding so I could plan accordingly. His family was going to have a really small gathering in the early afternoon and ours was scheduled for 4pm. But no pressure, right?
