Munchkin Sd13 Apologized...!

WEll gash darn it, this kid is growing up!

She was nice enough all day, but around mid afternoon, called to me as I was passing her, and we had a nice conversation about things that had happened Christmas Day.

Muchkin said that she was sorry that she had reacted badly to my offer of taking her clothes shopping instead of game shopping, and that she was sorry she had cried and "been selfish". WOW! I mean, simply wow. I am so proud of her.

Thank you to everyone for the open and honest input from my Christmas post.

First - I turned it around this time. Instead of staying around, feeling bad because shes cying (I imagined) in her room, avoiding me and cleaning or lounging in a dark living room in my jammies watching netflix movies (which under any other circumstances would have been wonderful), instead I put my stuff in my backcpack and drove to the coast and walked on a trail along the beach.

Oh well. I tried. I extended myself and got through it I thought well enough. Last night (Christmas eve) was a huge party at DH's mothers house and eVERYONE was there, except one who was stuck at the airport in Southern California.

Poor sop.

Then there was the SIL who just had back surgery and was upset so she showed up, with her boyfriend. Who is known to do drugs.

But mostly everything was ok.

Then I wake up this morning to a pile of dog p**p.

Im being so lazy with Christmas! Its here, yay! Looking forward to a nap and then festivities and gorging on delicious food, seeing my parents and doing the massively fun white elephant gift exchange for adults after the kiddos do a gift grab extravaganza,

Munchkin SD13 is really looking forward to it after spending Saturday celebrating Christmas with BM Toxic Troll, SD20 Feral Forger, and TT's sister Homeless Troll along with grandparents on that side.

So - firstly:

Thanks to all for your comments and support. It really helped me to be able to have clarity.

Secondly - for whatever reason, and I think I know what it is, but for whatever reason DH has been falling over himself to please me.

Thirdly, SD13 has also been falling over herself to please me.

Im like "aha all it takes is for cLove to get absolutely p!ssed off, go silent but deadly with this anger, and everyone will FINALLY give her the appreciation and consideration that she has been needing all this time!"

Those of you who know my story and background, know that I really do love SD13. She is kind and mostly thoughtful. Her mother and sister are mostly not. So there is over 5 plus years of pent up and unexpressed anger and resentment.

Last night I had an eruption of anger, mostly at DH, and some of that filtered to SD13. I am still so angry this morning and have zero outlet.

So - my story.

So, she has done this since she was 11-12. She will come up to me, interrupt what I am doing and detail just WHY she is bored, and asks me to do something with her.

I REALLY hate this! EVERY TIME it makes me want to scream and I am considered a REALLY patient person. Is this NORMAL teen things?

She has a ton of things she can do with her time to self-entertain:

  - Play with baby bearded dragon.

  - Play with one of two rabbits

  - Draw on $1,400 tablet her mother bought her

Homeless Toxic Troll updates

So, last night, as we were having some adult time alone, eating and laughing, etc., DH gets a text from Munchkin who is supposedly with her mother, as its her visitation. They were moving.

"Im coming over with all my stuff".

So - She brought over 5 bags full of her things from the knarly cock-roach apartment. Without any communications at all.

They found a temporary home for their rabbit.

No word about where Feral Forger will land, just that Toxic Troll is in fact staying with her sister in another town, in a 1 bedroom apartment.

O/T I just got a gift from one of my favorite Authors!!!!

Catherine Ryan Hyde!!!! She sent me a kindle book shes written, through Amazon, in response to an email I sent her yesterday.

Biggrin Early Christmas!

I worked with her briefly when I was doing bookkeeping for a childrens literary agent.

She is such an inspiration to me, has a really nice, down-to-earth sweet personality, and her concept of pay-it-forward has inspired so many.

Plus I really enjoy reading her stuff.

Toxic Troll requesting "fake check" from DH

As Im writing this, my emotions are all over the place.

Last night BM Toxic Troll came and picked up Munchkin SD13, and was crying. Last month, she was evicted from the apartment. Supposedly during a walk through they saw stains on the carpet from Feral Forger who is a serial hair-dyer. A few weeks ago, she kept Munchkin out of school to search for new apartments, which they found one close by.
