So, it's been an interesting week. This will be a long one.

We found out why BioDad did not want to take SD7 to Comic Book Convention... he proposed to his GF there. I think they were both in costume. The funny thing is, they brought the GF's daughter. I don't care because he's just alienating his daughter, but she'll never see that. Essentially (again) we were used as the babysitter, but DW watched her because as DW states "I always want to have the first opportunity to be with my daughter."

Halloween - Follow up

So I forgot to post about this last weekend, but as a follow up, I finally had to conversation with DW about Halloween and I think it turned out ok after some discussion.

I told her that I wanted to bring it up now instead of a week before Halloween, but that I absolutely do not want BioDad coming to our house for Halloween anymore.

DW stops what she is doing and says "Ok...."

Independence Day

It's BioDad's week with SD7.

DW to me: "So BioDad is going to a comic book convention on July 4 and doesn't want to take SD."

Me: "Ok, and why is this our problem?"

DW: "I told him to drop her off here for the day. I told him we never have her on the 4th of July and I'd like to have her once."

Me: "So... because BioDad is inconvenienced by his daughter's presence, we have to babysit her so he can go to a comic book convention? He attends these things all the damn time and always takes SD7. Why not this time?"

Vacation

So, the family is going to be taking a week-long beach vacation in a couple of weeks. It is happening a week before SD7's birthday, so DW decided that we would roll that into the vacation as well. So, we are going to LegoLand at the end of the vacation week for her birthday.

So, interesting things happen every week.

First, as I referenced in a forum post, SD7 told me that she "does not LIKE to think."

I guess that really sums up most of my issues with her right there.

Father's Day was great...

...after SD7 left to go to her father's house at noon.

My DW does a lot of stuff for me, and she always goes overboard on Father's Day. I had breakfast in bed, so that started off a good day, but as soon as I was out of bed it was SD7 being an idiot until she left at noon. So the morning sucked, but the rest of the day was better.

Forgotten things = another meltdown

This is going to be a long one. We had some bad weather here yesterday that caused traffic delays. DW wasn't going to be able to make it to pick up SD7 by 6pm, so I went to pick her up after I picked up BS3 from daycare.

Got to the school, everything is fine, drive all the way home, park in the garage and start getting out of the car.

SD7 says "You need to take me back to school right now."

Me: "What? Why?"

SD7: "Because I forgot some school stuff."
