OT - Juice Cleanse

Oh my Holy Cow.

To support my DH, I joined my husband on his 15 day juice cleanse. I realize this makes me insane beyond all measure. I had food dreams the last two nights. Who the hell dreams about food? I never think about food unless it's "Hmmmmmm....what should I make for lunch/dinner today?"

I was recently promoted. Per my boss, I was allowed to change a few processes in order to streamline/expedite the work.

I swear by all that is holy, I will lose it if one more person comes up to me and complains "Why do I have to do it this way now, it's a lot of work (it's not, it makes it easier on them) and I don't wanna do it!".

I would love to answer them with "Why? Because f**k you. That's why."

I really need to start channeling my Dr. Perry Cox (Scrubs) for my new responsibilities.

Just an age old vent

There is nothing more frustrating than the way DH behaves if there has been a lot of time in between visits with his kid. It turns DH into Disney Dad.

Suddenly I don't exist. And when I do exist, every single effing conversation is about his kid or Uberskank.

This was a weekend where I wished I was single again. There is more to my life than DH's kid and the fact she won't listen to his advice.

All I wanted to do was scream.....SHE IS NOT THE INNOCENT PRINCESS LOCKED IN THE TOWER BY THE EVIL HARPY UBERSKANK!!!

I was promoted last week and it was announced today. My boss has been working on this for a while, but trying to pry the increased salary and title out of HR has been a trial for him.

Muuuwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaahahahahahahah......I officially have minions!

Our company allows us to decorate our cubes. We have a temp working for us that for some reason is decorating the cube she is in, but is leaving next Friday. She is being replaced by someone who's been out on medical leave.

As annoying as that is, while she's painting I just heard her remark "Huh.....I guess yellow and green don't make blue. You only get light green."

I normally stay off FB during my work hours (but not ST }:)), however I have a friend that works with me that was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the appendix in August. She's young (early thirties) with a stb2 y/o girl. She created a FB page for support during her difficult time.

She's been in DC at a special clinic where they performed a full hysterectomy, removed her large intestine, removed all remaining tumors from her abdomen and abdominal wall. Finishing with a chemo was of her abdominal cavity.

Holy crap.

Seriously. He's a tool.

We're having dinner with his kid Friday night after picking her up at the bus station*. She started talking about getting a job (she's 17), her plans to move into an apt with 2 of her GF's after HS, go to community college and then get into a 4 year college, etc.
