So here is how graduation went

BigBrother's Pre-K graduation went well. I was not happy to see DH's ex-laws there (the same ones he forced me to go on vacation with years ago). We are all cordial and polite now, but I still have no respect for them for the contribution they made to pitting Starry against me her entire childhood. Starry's older half sister was there too.

She is someone I absolutely cannot stand. A few years ago, she lied to Starry and told her that I said when they were little "she should stop coming to our house because DH isn't her real dad." That is a lie! That conversation did not happen.

Pre-K Graduation Tonight, Pray I can put up with Starry

We have a preschool graduation tonight for GS5 (he is Starry and Preach's son). I'm excited to go for him, but I'm not looking forward to being around his mom. We are all polite, but it's so difficult because you just never know what might set her off at any given time.

Or what might magically offend her.

GS5 (BigBrother5) will be happy to see me. He and I are pretty close. He and LittleSister2 love coming to our house. We'll be watching them tomorrow evening.

Just pray I get through tonight.

Same Story, Different Decade

For OG members looking for context, I used to be here almost 10 years ago as Rutherford.

I wish I could say things have continued to go well since I was last here. I can't.

Starry, who is almost 28 is now married with two kids of her own. The grandkids are the bright spot in my life right now. I naively thought that when skids aged out that the pain of being a stepmom would subside.

It doesn't. In fact, the only time she ever calls or texts me is when she needs a babysitter.
