As I tossed and turned last night (Insomnia came a'callin'), I was thinking about Lt. Dad's Fireside Chats and wishing I had her eloquence. But I'm more comfortable behind a bar and my gift for words is suited to writing technical documentation. So....

Are you ready for the weekend? I am!!! My insomnia has been in the driver's seat this week. Ish. Sleeping until noon tomorrow sounds like a lovely dream. Too bad there's a ton of rain in the forecast because overnight temp in the upper 40s and open windows are perfect sleeping conditions for this Finn. Nothing like snuggling deep down in the covers and DH saying, "Okay, baby, I'm ready." and stoically braces himself for my cold feet on his legs. What a champ! <3

Happy Hump Day, STalkers!

I love words. I cannot remember a time when I didn't write (okay, flashbacks before age 4 aside...). There is a word for everything and some of those words, regardless of the meaning, are fun! Well, they are to me. *biggrin*  Taking a break from work/life...

DH - after ‘Ho’s deluge of unanswered calls (he was sleeping) - turned off his phone Wednesday evening and left it off (still is - lol). In fact, SS18 called my phone yesterday afternoon to talk to him. ~snicker~

After a delicious dinner last night, I was doing dishes while DH sat at the kitchen table writing some checks.

~knockknockknockknockknock~ Ye olde back door has a visitor.

DH and I look at each other and I shrug. No one is expected.

Screen door opens… ~knockknockknockknockknockknockknock~
