I did something not very nice today. BM picked up skids about 20 mins ago. Usually when she drops them off she drops them off with red gatorade and boxes of candy or pistachio nuts or some other totally weird thing. Cheetos, peanuts or something. At 7pm on a sunday. Ss3 wets his bed from drinking so much juice before bedtime and sd5 always has the red koolaid mustache for school the next day. So I did something childish. I filled up ziploc baggies for each of them to the brim with chocolates and candies.

Starting to get irritable

First a fore word about the whole "Sybermoms" thing.

I.do.not.give.a.shit what they think or say. Not a single bit. This whole thing has spiraled out of control, and I feel that closing the site to members is a good idea to protect those who would like the privacy. I however don't care what they think of me or anyone else on this site because it's really easy to talk and judge others from behind a computer.

Ideas!?

I need my skids to call me something different. SO and i are not married, and i dont want to be called mom. To share a name with their shitty parent makes me feel icky inside lol. I want something to differentiate me as a family member to them to others mainly because i work at a daycare and honestly hearing my name over and over in a high tiny voice is wearing it out. Also im not a great fan of small persons calling me by the name adults address me by. Old fashioned i guess.

So today I went sledding with my skids and 6 other kids plus 3 friends. We had a blast! I let SO know that I was going out to dinner with a friend tonight. He was like is that so? I'm like uh yeah, its so and I'd love to see you try and stop me. You are off work tonight dude take.your.drunken.kids. Idle what has happened to him lately but he seems like he has no interest in being with anyone but me and frankly its a wee but suffocating and I want him to actually engage with his kids !

I feel like slapping somebody today. Hard.

Update: sd15 left the fricken desk lamp on at the computer because she doesn't give a shit about anyone else but herself and proceeded to melt the top of the 2 week old $1000 All in One computer SO bought me as a gift. She took his Ipod and left it at school and broke her phone. I'm about done with this chick today and my temper is running super thin with her.

Warning: white hot mad. Lots of cussing. forgive me.

Here is some questions I thought of today - doesn't really relate to my life but they were things I wondered about and wanted to see what all the other Steps thought.

1. Do you think kids of a custodial father/SM can get PAS'd?

2. Do you think you cut your bios a lot less slack than your skids?

3. What do your skids call you?

4. Why do you think it is harder for SM's to form relationships with their skids and vice versa than it is for Stepdads?

So BM dropped off all skids on Sunday evening, they had been there Thursday night thru Sunday afternoon because skids were off school Friday thru MLK day. I wanted them on Monday for myself because they have been begging to go to my moms house and my mother finally found sometime in her extremely busy schedule (sarcasm) to get them. Saturday sd15 texts me and says sd5 is sick. Vomiting everywhere, has a fever the whole nine. I tell her to keep an eye on her for me.

Feeling so guilty.

So a little background as this is my first post. I am a stay at home stepmom of 4. I have no biokids right now and have no plans to very soon. I also have no natural instincts to be affectionate or extremely patient towards my stepkids. Im a custodial stepmom. Kids visit BM 4 days a month and any school holidays. Our court order has complete control for SO. He calls all shots for visitation, timing, medical, school, you name it. Unfortunately SO works management salaried 11-12 hours a day.
