A conversation between DH and me
I thought you might like to see what DH thinks of BM.
He's getting promoted, and we're trying to figure out how to explain him going to school and coming right back to where he left from. She's a money-grubbing bitch, so avoiding tipping her off that he has more money to claim for CS is key. DH doesn't mind supporting his child, but the CS is going to her convertible payment and mortgage, not SD15.
I had just come up with a plan... (pardon the sappiness, I didn't realize how over-the-top sickening we are)

How much does it REALLY cost?
We've had a lot of "How much do you pay in CS" topics, but I haven't seen much on the actual cost of child-raising.
I don't have a flippin' clue how much it costs to raise a child because I don't have any bios, and DH and I are so extremely NCP that day to day expenses are nonexistent for all intents and purposes.

Because THAT will help!
Warning - semi-rant on religion ahead. I know a lot of the ladies here are Christians, and this is not meant to bash you or Christianity.
SD15 just can't give up her little piece of trash not-boyfriend. Last week she was busted using her stepfather's work computer to explicitly IM this boy. None of the adults like him; he's a rough kid who has abusive druggies for parents. SD15 is a sucker for a sob story.

Drama - Teen Girl Edition
Note that this isn't SD15 causing drama in OUR life, just that she's full of that typical teenage drama. Also note that we are long-distance NCPs who see SD15 3 times a year on a good year - DH saw her for 5 weeks in 2010. Two of those weeks I was in Afghanistan, so I only saw her for 20 days, all at MIL's.

Frustrated - nothing I can do to help
Apparently SD15 has been behaving herself, as I'm getting emails. She gets internet access taken away when she's grounded, and that's the only way I have to communicate with her. We have a pretty good relationship, although that might just be because she NEVER sees me.

So frustrated - getting in trouble over boys, cutting, and now abuse?
This last month has been so full of drama, I don't know where to begin!
The ladies in the FB group know most of it (If anybody wants to test how searchable it is, PM me, then join us!) but I just have to get it out.
SD will be 15 this week. In the last month:
OT - Where is his brain?
I love my DH, I really do.
He's a great dad. He stands up to BM, both for me and for SD14. He has a good job. He is usually really considerate. He asks for my opinion on just about everything. We don't fight.
So when the first words out of his mouth last night were, "You're going to kill me" I knew something was up.

Acting out
SD14 is at it again.
I know I've said I have a good relationship with her, but I'm plenty pissed right now.
SD14 has been told she is not to talk to a particular boy. When she gets in trouble, she gets "grounded" (BM grounding - computer taken away, but going to the mall or friends houses, okay!) and I quit hearing from her. She does not have my phone number because BM is a whackjob, and I don't want BM having any of my info. Sunday night, I idly tell DH I hadn't heard from her for a few days, wonder if she got in trouble again?
DING, DING, DING!!!

Bible-reading ladies, I need a little help.
To give a little background:
BM played the "if you don't believe in MY (whackadoo) version of Christianity, you're damned to hell and emotionally damaging MY daughter!" card.
