Anyone else's skids do this?

YSD was over briefly on Sunday.

Thankfully her and SS stayed outside.

She was there all of maybe?? 5 minutes.

She had to first lay in MY hammock. (I really love that thing, why did she have to go and ruin the aura around it?)

Then she had to sit in MY favorite patio chair. Recline. Pull forward. Recline.

Then she had to go up in the treehouse and slide down the firepole in her hoochie shorts. Thanks for the vag shot!

Then back to the hammock.

Then stand directly in front of me and DH.

Then back to the treehouse.

How was being a step parent changed you?

Overall when I think of this whole step situation, I think it has changed me for the WORSE. Yes I love DH and we have a good life together and I see lots of positives.

But when I think of all the headaches in my life, it goes back to the skids.

Being a step parent has changed me:

I am more:

Anxious
Suspicious

I feel that I am always defending myself; not only to people, but even to myself in my own head at times.

I feel that there is this elephant in the room that DH and I never talk about.

DH's issues with Ex- how should I handle???

DH and I have been having some "issues" when it comes to my Ex.

Ex lives about 45 minutes away. He works weekends. He doesnt have a car.

Since he works weekends he doesnt see BS EOW. He is a server/bartender so he cant take weekends off that often otherwise he will lose money. He sees him on holidays and maybe once every 6 weeks (sometimes longer) during the school year. During summer break, he does go with his dad more often and during the week. I make sure that if he wants to see him, that he gets to see him.

DH's Father Day- YSD15, SS20 and his GF come over. No card or gift. DH then takes them to eat at McDonald's. Yes he PAYS for them to eat out. They couldnt even come up with $20 to pay themselves for Father's Day.

OSD21 is in town. She hasnt made an effort to contact DH and let him know she is in town. I only know because she mentioned it on FB. But DH rarely checks his FB, so he isnt going to see it most likely.

Feel a little bad that this is DH's Father Day. But on that same note, these are his kids that he raised. It's his own fault.....

Darn it!

Darn it! OSD just tagged DH in another FB post (still hasnt CALLED him to tell him she will be in town) that she is on vacation and will be in our state for a WHOLE week! UGH!

Thankfully DH works the first 3 days of the week. We are going to be out of town this weekend The days he is off I am pretty sure I am going to work from home.

He can spend all the time he wants with his kids.... as long as its OUTSIDE of my home.

I think I dodged a bullet.....

Just saw that OSD tagged DH in a Facebook post talking about how she is going to our state (she moved out of state 8 hours away)in a few days and can't wait to see her family...blah blah blah

Thankfully DH and I will be out of town for most of the weekend Smile Oddly could not have worked out better!

On a side not totally annoys me when she says "I can't wait to see my daughters" when she is referring to her SDs.

I am taking DH away for the weekend. We are going to a 2 day concert/camping event.

My BS8 will be with his dad this weekend.

DH and I will have fun this weekend- drinking, dancing, listening to good music, relaxing and just letting loose. We will return to town on Sunday.

I wonder how many of the 4 skids will call or text DH. I wonder if any of them will get him a card or even a gift.

Now remember these are the same skids that just LOVE their Daaaddddyyyy and hate SM because she keeps Daaaddddyyyy from them. (not true at all)

DH is eating his words now..... He did apologize for coming across so harsh on Saturday when this originally went down.

Yesterday 2 more envelopes came from 2 different attorney offices.

So I bring them out to DH and said please read this "Advertisement Only", Okay read this one "Advertisement Only".

I have a question on loyalty and I want some feedback on it.
