So, my ss11 was telling my MIL how he is mad at this father because before he had to move away for work, he chose to not see the skids due to their soccer schedule. That he blamed the skids for playing a sport.
MIL was shocked, she asked, where did you get THAT from? SS11 says, mom told me!!!!!

MIL immediately set ss11 straight. She said, your father took you every other weekend. That is his visitation. You went to his house (we lived in different states from them) at least twice a month or for 4 days a month.

The BM is about to get a talking to!!!

Ok.. so my inlaws graciously take the skids for a couple of weeks each summer. This summer is no different, except, we no longer live near the skids. dh's job moved us 1700 miles away from them and my family.

The inlaws set up their visitation w/the ex like they have the past several summers. This summer, she has repeatedly changed the visitation time frame.. The problem?? Inlaws have arranged for their cousin they never get to see, to be there at the same time. Nice visit for all the kids.

Love and HATE Skype, all at the same time!

We moved far away from family and friends.. so we set up a Skype account so that we could stay in touch.

Problem w/Skype, is it tells people the INSTANT you sign online.. so.. what is the big deal w/that???

My skids or the ex or both keep calling anytime I hop on to check MY email. I mean.. its the middle of the FN day, their father is AT WORK, they know it.. yet feel that I should answer all these calls.

Be careful what you wish for.. you might just get it!

So, after all my being upset on Saturday morning about not getting a break and needing my dh to come home and help.. well.. I got my wish..

So, he got home in the late afternoon on Saturday, tells me great news.. I have tomorrow off! I was estatic. Finally, I can have some help, I can probably even sleep late!!

So, is there ANY occassion when drama can just stay in check and out of the picture??? I mean.. is there nothing sacred?

This past weekend was filled w/DRAMA.. all by BM and her DH. Skids being dragged into adult scheduling issues and brought to tears.

Anyone unfriend their MIL on FB so the BM cant see you?

So, I have been on MIL's FB friend for over a year. Periodically, I check her list of friend's to make sure that you know who isnt on there, and cant then gain access to my pics or wall.

Well, today I checked.. and I guess its been over a month since I have.. and of COURSE she has friended her.. (^&*&^+*&^&*^

So, hopefully this worked.. I blocked the exwife, I changed all my settings on pictures and my wall to be only friends, and not friends of friends.

How many of you fly your skids this way for visitation???

I ask, because this will be our new way of life, now that the military is sending us far from the skids and our families.

I have looked it up, I see the age requirements are generally 5 to 14... sooo..

MIL was talking to the BM, and offered to fly the kids unaccompanied of course and BM said nope no way. She will not allow them to fly unaccompanied..

Need some suggestions

So, my sd got her period for the first time. I want to be able to do something nice for her.. so she doesnt dread it and think her life is over as she knows it.. like I did..

What do you all suggest? I read online about books that will answer all her questions, so that she doesnt have to feel uncomfortable asking an adult.. there is also a book that famous women and some not so famous describe their first time they got theirs.. to kind of show it happens to everyone.. and a coworker here suggested a day out for the girls.. like a pedicure or something...
