So, someone in my office just announced that Kate will be on the next Dancing w/the Stars! I loved their show, and was so sad for those kids to have to go through such a public divorce, but in true Kate fashion, she has managed a new gig.

Have any of you sold a house that was purchased AFTER the divorce?

My question is, have any of you had a house that was not part of the divorce settlement. Either you or you and your dh purchased it once together, and go to sell it? Can the bm try for any of the proceeds?

The reason I ask, is the bm is very curious about what we are asking for our house. She knows that we are selling it. Its mine. I purchased it prior to marrying my dh, and I am the one selling it.

Anyone?

A bit of background, the step kids had a bday last Saturday. My inlaws sent each of the twins $50 for them to spend however.

Last night, we get two boxes:
one from Amazon, contained a toy for BS $12 and an item for sd $14... ok.. even.. like it..
second box contained wrapped gifts, there were 3 in there for sd and 3 for ss (in Sept, they brought up one of ss's gifts and left in a closet, as it would have been a fortune to mail as its so heavy), then 2 gifts for me and 1 big one for dh.

Inlaws.. WWYD??!??!

So, I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE my inlaws. I thought they were the nicest people..

NOT ANYMORE!!

So, to add to them showing up w/shingles in September and wishing to hold BS 5mos at the time. NOW they have told DH that IF we get SD11 & SS11 for Xmas they would like to come up for xmas.

Ummmm.... ? HELLO!!! What about BS 8 mos? you dont want to come because HE will be celebrating his first FUCKING Christmas?? you only want to come if the OTHER TWO come??? SERIOUSLY!?!?!?

THIS S*CKS!!!

So.. today is my first day back to work since having my baby. I dropped my baby off at daycare this am. He is only 4 and a half months old. BM is sitting at home, not working.. she has two 10 yr olds (dh's) and a 5 yr old (new hubby's) and now is pregnant w/a new baby they cant afford. She quit her part time job the minute she found out she was pregnant.. Soooo.. why am I pissed?? Because I have to be responsible and go to work.. so that we can afford things.. like picking up the skids and having them on EOW and doing crap w/them.

I just wanted to share this info with everyone..

PBS is airing this show about the economic tough times, and why families must cut back on spending. It airs on Wed Sept 9th at 8pm EST. (not sure about the other time zones). We are taping this (or dvring it) and playing it for the skids this coming weekend. Elmo tells how his family is cutting back, no amusement parks, but rather the local park, no movie theaters, but rather a rented dvd.. etc..

My "friend" and skids in same weekend = no patience!!!

So, my "friend" or frenemy was here this weekend.. TMI? sorry.. but relevant to my mental state and comfort level.. lol.. and so where the skids. We had a work event for my dh on Saturday. Dh goes and gets the skids, I take the baby and go make our appearance on time. Dh and skids are almost 2 hrs late.. no big.. I am having a good time mingling w/the baby and people that I know.. and meeting people that I dont. Its amazing how a baby is a conversation starter.

OMG.. SS10 isnt here even 2 mins after not being here since the end of June (skids were away visiting grandparents several states away for the first 2.5 weeks of July) and he ALREADY made a comment about bs 3mos. Said, and I quote.. Oh.. he looks so CLUELESS!!!

I bit my tongue!! But after he and his sister went to their room to drop their bag, I said to my dh that he NEEDS to say something next time a derogatory comment is made about bs 3mos, because if I say something.. NEITHER of them will like it..
