hate coming home from work

sterlingsilver's picture

Last evening when I got home ss15 was sprawled out on my big couch and sdog was laying on my loveseat. This is a common accurance and the trouble with this is that my house is really starting to smell like shitzu and teen boy. I mean, these two stink so badly that it literally smelled like a kennel when I walked in instead of the stew that I had simmering in the crockpot. I am getting so sick of that stinky little shit taking over the livingroom while I am at work and the stinky big teen thinking he can leave his stink and garbage all over. It makes me dread coming home.

just complaining a bit today

Someone mentioned kids not knocking earlier today and it got me to worrying about our upcoming move. Dh and I are buying a new place and it's a modular on an acrage and I was noticing yesterday while looking at the place that the bedroom situation is going to be different. All the bedroom are at one end (the house we're in now has the masterbedroom on the opposite end from the kids' rooms) and since the bigger of the two kids rooms is further from us where my two boys will share ss15 has to take the bedroom next to ours, which means there will only be a very thin wall btw us now.

stepdog question

Yes, you read right, my dh's pooch is very much like another step kid. I try to disengage but alas I ALWAYS get stuck with the feeding, watering, cleaning up messes, buzzing his hair and bathing him. He is a fixed shitzu and a very, very, very smelly little guy. Since moving into this house 6 months ago he has done fairly well being house trained but there is one thing he does and that is he will follow my dh into our bedroom and he always pees on the floor just inside our door. Today he peed so much is was about a 2 foot wide puddle and he walks all thru it and all over our room.

I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook (totally OT)

Facebook is a very important social outlet for me. I have a large family and many friends who all live far away from me. I have several sisters (I'm not going to mention to # in case I am being stalked) and we have all been very close all our lives, except for one. This sister decided a year ago to move clear across the country to live closer to our other sister. She has two girls and she took them away from their dad and friends to move them.

Taboo but couldn't resist

Well ss15 was home alone yesterday for a couple ours but wen I got home he fled rather quickly. I thought it odd since the past few days have been fine. Well I was cooking supper and went to sit down on the couc in my usual spot and there tucked down by the cushion is a book. I pulled it out and it's just a regualar school comp book but I know it's ss15's. I briefly let the pages fall open just to see what the subject was and was going to throw it into his room, but low and behold it is not a school book but his personal journal. Te journal is all about is 20 yr old gf.

Things are ok right now

I was just browsing some of your blogs and thought to myself that right now in our home tings are fairly smooth. Ss15 is behaving fine and being nice and responding to me like when I ask him to do something he's actually pitching in and doing it without complaining. My boys are acting better too. It's just nice to have a moment of realization that the storms aren't blowing right now.

exhausted after work tonight...

...but I came home and made dinner anyhow. Of course ss15 was not here for the meal so dh asks me to dish up a plate for him and put it into the fridge. I grudgingly do so. SS15 gets home and he immediately grabs the food and scarfs it down and then asks dh if he can move his computer down to the diningroom b/c he likes the chairs. I said NOOOO, not b/c I am worried about the chairs or anything but then with ss15's xbox AND computer downstairs I will have him in my personal space AAAALLLL THE EFFIN time.

amazing what can help to make a little attitude adjustment!

I took ss15's computer (that I bougt him so it fell under my "discipline") away for 4 days for slamming doors and breaking the doors. DH tried stopping me but I felt strongly that if he slams door in MY face then he can take MY discipline. Today ss15 got his computer back and he was all happy and said he'd keep his temper in better control. He also asked me to remind his dad to sign football papers b/c he's decided he wants to play afterall. I told him if he keeps up good behaviors then I will be in the stands every game cheering him on and KFC for all afterward. He likes that!

they don't warm the bed at night...

I had another big incident this afternoon with ss15. I asked him why he had turned down my bs's help to clean up the boat. Then I asked him if he did a good enough job. He said "I did the best I could" I said, "wow that really takes the heat off if it so happens that you didn't do a good enough job", well "I did the best I could" will get him off the hook every time with his dad. He slammed his bedroom door in my face, it would have not hit me but the trim popped off and the door swung through and hit me in the shoulder. He literally slammed it that hard.
