In some ways I did know what I was getting into....

We all hate it when we here "Well you knew what you were getting into it." However, didn't we in some small way know? I find it hard to believe that everyone was happy go lucky before marriage/relationship and then all of the sudden the skids turned as soon as the "I dos" were said.

Here is my "I knew what I was dealing with, I was just too stupid to think past the situation."

Right after tax time. I offer to take the skids, DH and my BS to an indoor water park. I will pay for everyone and treat everyone. I wanted to do something nice for the whole "Family".

Update to my last post- Teachers going on strike

Tommar was asking... Yes the teachers went on strike. This is day 2.

Its been a mess! Not enough subs. Combined classrooms. Fights at the H.S. Security guards patrolling the schools (during the weekend), subs falling asleep in the classrooms, a sub caught on camera flipping someone off.

Stupid? Hopeful? Or Selective Memory?

Me to DH lastnight: Anything planned for this weekend?

DH: I gotta take my girls to dinner.

ME: Okay. Remember BS is at his dad's this weekend. (Weekends BS is at his dad's we usually go all out- drinking, eating out, sleeping in, lots of sex, dancing, movies, etc but its not a problem if he goes for a few hours to see his kids)

DH: Well you can just go to dinner with us.

Me: No

DH: Yeah, we can do dinner with the girls

Anyone's BM a SP?

BM isn't a SM.

But the man she is dating has at least 1 kid (that I know of).

I dont know much about BM's BF (as I dont even know much about BM)

I did do some FB snooping one time and the daughter seemed somewhat normal. I was really surprised she was the offspring of someone who would date BM.

She is probably closer to my age, maybe 4 years yonger, so I am assuming BM's BF is older then she is. I am 9 years younger then BM.

Anyone with adult skids- are they a SP?

OSD21 is a SM.

I dont think her and her now DH were together very long before they moved out of state (maybe a year???).

So prior to them moving, I am not sure how much time she actually spent with her SDs. She has 2, they are probably 9 and 7????

They moved out of state about a year and half ago and per FB (bc she posts everything there) they have seen her skids twice when they have come back to our state.

Dinner Dad

Okay can't remember whose blog I just read and they said their DH was a "Dinner Dad". LOL I love it!

This is my DH!

Every couple of weeks getting close to the weekend or during the weekend I will hear:

"I need to take my girls/daughters to dinner"

This is DH's way of letting me know he will be spending time with his kids. Most likely YSD called wanting Daaaddddy to take her out to eat.

Funny thing... SS is rarely ever included in these dinners. Just special YSD and MSD.

What is is about your skids that you dont like or that has caused you to not have a relationship wtih them?

I dont have a relationship wit my skids because:

1. Thier parents (LOL)

2. The lies they tell their dad and the lies that they tell about me that affect my relationship with DH and my household. Also the stuff they lie about affect the way I see them.

3. The stealing

Yes there is really a hashtag for this on IG.

My niece19 follows YSD on IG. (From before when we all got along).

Twice my niece has showed me that YSD will post a pic on her from my wedding on IG and put #mydadswedding.

My niece will comment #DHandZerowedding and YSD will delete that comment.

(I did tell my niece to stop commenting on it and to just ignore it moving forward. While I appreciate her sticking up for me, I'd rather us not feed into the b.s.)
