I'm hoping for some advise from everyone here who has a similiar persepective. I'm in my second marriage and I dearly love my new wife. Her son though is causing some grief; I just don't know if it's me that's not behind patient enough.
BM gave FH a letter, and the opening line is: "You havn't changed since you got busted with your best friends fat girlfriend. I begged you to stay but you swore you didn't love me, whatever." Keep in mind they have been divorced for 6 years, seperated for 8. I will continue with the letter: "I let you off so easily in the divorce I could have taken everything. I won't back down so easy this time. I won't let you beat me!" She is referring to FH taking her to court for full custody. "I thought you were finally stepping up to be a really good dad but its just a game that Molly is playing.
What is this and when does it stop?
The logic that parents feel guilty for a breaking up a childs happy home - and thus let them ruin the next home is hard to get my mind around.
Ok. I am new here. Don't have a clue really. I don't, nor do I EVER blog. But I absolutely feel the need to vent right now, so it's gonna be a long one. My husband and I met six years ago, married a year ago. He goes to the track and/or poker approx. 4-6 times a week. I don't care about that. But what I DO care about is the fact that I am not ALLOWED to tell him about/parent his kids. Let me tell You about them. They are good kids who have suffered a lot in their 12 & 14 years.
ok in the court order that we got on monday it states dh can call skids 1x daily so yeasterday we talk to skids w/ no prob now today bm's cell is off all day,wow shocker, it also says in the court order that we need to give skids 24 hrs to call us back ok how much you all wanna bet that every other day she shuts her phone off???
She hasn't seen/talked to the skids or paid any child support for almost a year now. I saw her today at Wal-Mart and she was actually working there! She saw me too and you should have seen the look on her face!!!! LMAO!! She was not as happy to see me as I was her! We will be calling CS office in the a.m. to let them know where she is working. Maybe soon we will be getting child support or watching her arse make a trip to the slammer! I would be happy either way. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
The SDs have been with us fulltime for two weeks now and it hasn't been easy. We finally mangaged to get all their toys and clothes from BM's into their room (there was heaps). We are struggling to get veges into them for evening meals. Apparently they never needed to eat them at BM's (she is almost finished a catering course which will qualify her as a chef so if anyone could make veges interesting and yum she should be able to!) When we asked them what they ate for tea at BMs we were told 'Mum just made us toatie pies'.
I just want to THANK GOD & all of the people that have been praying the devil out of my house. I am not saying that SD is the devil but one must understand that I have been dealing with principles & principalities. Please don't misunderstand, I have not prayed for this child to stay away, I have only prayed for God's perfect will to be done in this situation, whatever that might be. I have, however, asked the Lord to change her or remove her far from me.
But then again-hard to with no Life Skills Training....
I have been busy with a career transition-but "The Adventures with Zippy" carry on...
Zippy is almost 17 now (I have seen him blossom from a little 5'10" 14 year old thumb sucker, hanging off DH- to an almost 17 year old-6"2 - brain dead 24/7 gamer-ahhh the sentimental part of me is showing....)
On the UP side-Zip has kept a job at the local hamburger joint for a record 2 months now (on my way with a cake to celebrate this weekend!)-
