Dead beat mothers aren’t talked about enough in comparison to fathers. As a new mom myself, I just can’t fathom the genetic & clearly biological absence of instinct to want to nuture, protect, love & care for your babies with everything you have.

Ugh....I swear. DH has one brother ...aka the methhead. Literally he is a meth addict complete with the missing teeth and everything. OY joy..
Now MH (methhead) has two boys....nephew A and B. Nephew A....well he flew the addict coup at 14 when the house he was living in with his methhead mom...aka the stripper (MH met her while delivering chips to the local strip club while she was on a pole). was raided by the police and Nephew A was on the ground at gun point.
This my first time doing this. I feel lost in some ways. I had been with my wife for 13yrs and I have raised my stepson. His now 17yrs. My stepson has autistic spectrum and adhd. He doesn't see like he has this disability. I had help him with struggles, yes I'm strict parents but supportive. As for his mother she has a focused issues and she very lean back with him. There is no structure on her part and no guidance. I feel like I doing both jobs as parent for him and step parent. However he lies too much and procrastinate a lot.
Looks as though the HousesHitter (YSS21) has lost his job at the local branch of a global manufacturing plant.
His social media included his job title and this company for some months now and all of a sudden it was taken down with no replacement.
If true frankly I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did as he has zero work ethic.
Meanwhile, Pumpkinhead (OSS stb 28) posted a very long poem lamenting adulting!
Things have been ok so far. BM is still a pain but we don't hear from her hardly as much. Sadly I feel things are calm because SD is now never around . She plays volleyball in a club and now at school where she is a freshman so her schedule is literally full. We were hoping that she would start coming more when she got a break from the club but there she joined volleyball at her school so it's been non stop. She missed both her sisters b day in June and July , SD only came the weekend of her 15th birthday which was in August .
I have an update. My husband was granted full custody of his two daughters ages 15 and 12 in May 2024 he was granted temporary custody starting September 2023 his daughters have not had any contact with their mother since September 2023 and for those of you who haven't read my previous blogs the bio mom is a narcissist with drug and alcohol addiction and is in complete denial that her behavior is causing harm to her children. She has spent the better part of 10 years alienating her children from me, (their stepmother) and their father.
Its been a hot minute since I've been on.
5/28 I posted about my mom being on hospice and my sister's cancer dx timeline being shortened. Thank you all for your replies at the time. I'm sorry I did not get back to everyone, my sister passed on 6/11 at 46 years old.
Mom is still doing pretty well on hospice, so we feel lucky in that sense.
Hi everyone! Its been awhile since I posted an update. I do pop in from time to time but steplife remains (relatively) peaceful for me so thankfully not too much to post about!
Bratty McBratFace, now 27 years old, started med school a month ago in the Chicagoland area. She was so happy to be accepted and seems to be very motivated to succeed in her career.
I googled "Co-Regulation" and see nothing but positive articles, lots of Parent/Child relationship stuff and some Partner/Spouse stuff. But nothing about what I vibe is going on with a friend of mine and her partner. The partner tells my friend they need to "Co-Regulate" each other but to me it looks like "Partner" is looking to manipulate and control my friend via these f*cking needy-as-hell "Co-Regulation" demands.
